Guess I don't know many Joe Sixpack gun owners. Most of the ones I know are combat vets. The rest would not hesitate to fire in self defense of if someone was breaking through their door.
I do not put my faith in the individual gun owners. It would take time for them to organize. The threat would not be from our military or State or local police - maybe in New England but not here. The threat from the feds would initially be the BATF. If the BATF or FBI started flexing their muscle they'd be politely asked to leave the State before being forcibly removed. “Obama’s Millions” would be a joke.

And this isn’t post WW I Germany either, although it seems that President Obama and his supporters are seemingly trying to recreate those economic conditions.
Germans had a long tradition of obedience to their “betters”, going back to their tribal days and on through the feudal period and into the modern era. Americans do not have that tradition, our tradition is of rebellion and disobedience.
