Well leave it to Reuters, it wasn't a military coup. The guy was trying to take over the government, he was voted out by the other branches of the government in a perfectly legal move according to their constitution, he wouldn't leave so they arrested him. If they were smart they would execute the guy.

So Bozo defends a wanna be dictator, more than likely shaking in his boots about what could happen here.

Obama wasn’t wasn’t quoted in this story for calling for anything but calm in this story.

I haven’t found a story where he calls for the reinstatement of the Honduran President. Not saying that he hasn’t, just that I couldn’t find it.

I have seen Left Wingers melting down because he hasn’t, they are throwing massive fits of rage at Obama for not doing so.

-——At Link Below-——
A military coup has taken place in Honduras this morning, led by School of the Americas graduate Romeo Vasquez. In the early hours of the day, members of the Honduran military surrounded the presidential palace and forced the democratically elected president, Manuel Zelaya, into custody. He was immediately flown to Costa Rica.

While the European Union and several Latin American governments just came out in support of President Zelaya and spoke out against the coup, a statement that was just issued by Barack Obama fell short of calling for the reinstatement of Zelaya as the legitimate president.

It was a Reuters story, as a I recall -- the first article I came across describing the administration's response. Third or fourth paragraph...

Below cites a State Department release, but it concurs with my recollection of the Presidential statement.

In an unusual concurrence of views, the Obama administration and Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said they still recognized Mr. Zelaya as Honduras' president. The State Department called the events an "attempted coup" and urged Mr. Zelaya's "return and restoration of democratic order."

Yes, this came out later, I agree with you. Hillary Clinton and Obama now side with Mr. Zelaya, Fidel Castro, Daniel Ortega, and Hugo Chavez
