I checked in the last hour - a handful of other sources are reporting the same statement made by Ethiopian church leader Abuna Pauolo...
Thru a news google I see where this religious leader was indeed part of an ongoing series of meetings held in Rome this week with other World Council of Churches - targeting so called global peace.

It would appear that “Abuna Pauolos” “the leader of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church” has some history:

I have seen posted comments on other sites by Ethopian Christians indicating that this “religious leader” may have in mind taking a self-enrichment payment for allowing the Ark to be brought out of hidding?
This just looks like another scam for one reason or another. And people wonder why so many people are skeptical of organized religion...
Why can’t we just get some honesty, truth and integrity?
If he said he was going to unveil then why didn’t he do it?
