Whoops! It looks as though the “messiah” stepped on it again.
Russia is not a viable ally for the simple reason that it can not be trusted. Putin will stab you in the back if he believes it will be to his advantage. Russia, like China, might be a convenient short-term trading partner. However, you better make sure that every trade is justified on its own merits. Investment in a lawless society is not a wise choice.
Is 2012 short term?
Writer is from Holland. Good analysis.
That's better.
De Winter is being sarcastic. “as if he were a Muslim?” Clearly De Winter thinks he IS a Mulim!
Obama carried the Jewish vote in 2008.
He’ll carry it again in 2012.
Any questions?
“Russia is not a viable ally for the simple reason that it can not be trusted. Putin will stab you in the back if he believes it will be to his advantage.”
And the US under Obama can be trusted??
Obama could throw Israel under the bus any day (some would say he already has)... Israel had better start making some other alliances - Russia and India are naturals for the short term, and yes it better watch its back under any circumstances.
The Jewish vote is not controlling.
Her’s my question - Are you a prophet?

HAMAS are not even terrorists as far as Russia is concerned.
Lieberman withholds condemnation of Russia FM's meet with Hamas - May 26, 2009 - Lieberman's office noted that this was "not the Russian foreign minister's first get-together with Meshal and it was nothing to get all excited about." After the Prime Minister's Office subsequently condemned the meeting in Damascus, Lieberman pulled an about-face and issued a new response. "The Foreign Minister," the new statement read, "expresses deep disappointment over the meeting and believes that any meeting with Hamas makes a peace agreement more remote and legitimizes terrorism." Senior foreign ministry officials expressed amazement at the indecisive response by Lieberman to Lavrov's meeting with Meshal. "If the British or French foreign minister [had met Meshal], we would have already recalled our ambassador," one of the officials said.
Hell carry it again in 2012.
Any questions?
Our greatest undoing as a party and movement is unceasingly pandering to groups rather than individuals. Every time we emulate the left we lose big time. Pandering to whole groups; be it the Hispanics or the Jewish vote, we lose every time, because Liberalism is about advancing collectivism while Conservatism is about advancing individualism.

A number of European lawmakers and politicians met Saturday with Khaled Mishaal, the head of the Hamas political bureau, in Damascus and stressed the need to open dialog directly with Hamas. 3/15/09
It isn’t just Russia.
Andy Capp: Grrrrrrrrr.
Flo: Grrrrr (holding poker menacingly).
Vicar: I thought you two were going to talk things out.
Flo: We were, Vicar.
Vicar: Than why do you need that poker?
Flo: I don’t, Vicar.
Vicar: Then why don’t you put it down?
Flo: I will need it if I do that, Vicar.
Ironically, the settlers, a group I’ve come to know better since immigrating here, eat organic food, wear sandles, have incredibly long, thick sidelocks reminiscent of hippy hair, wear hppy-ish clothes, and live in constant communion with nature in their ancestral homes, in simple dwellings and with breathtaking views of mountains and valleys. They are also practicing social justice, asserting their claims to land that was often stolen from Jews during vicious pogroms and outright massacres. They also carry guns like the Weathermen, the Symbionese Liberation Army, the BLA and the Black Panthers. Among them here are many Ethiopian and Asian Jews, whom they treat as equals and brothers. But since the Palestinians are fashionable, the Leftys refuse to even notice any of this. These people have the testicular fortitude of many Davids facing many Goliaths on steroids, including Obama, the United States, and the Israeli government, not to mention the Palis and their billionare oil shiek buddies.
Increasingly, the song “You Can Do Miracles” from Spielberg’s Prince of Egypt comes to my mind here in “occupied” territory. It ought to be the Yishuvniks’ theme song, assuming that they need one.
Where do you live?
The Settlers are as Bibi said pioneers not villains. The analogy of US pioneers seems apt, a self-sufficient group.
So far, that's not true. The USA has not met with HAMAS and has not removed them from our list of foreign terrorist organizations.
The US has not adopted the same policies as the EU, the EU has adopted the policies of Russia.
Russia has succeeded in legitimizing the HAMAS terrorists, clearing the way for the EUSSR to adopt the same policies as KGB Incorporated.
