Its all planned and balanced out...and NOT by a mere Rock Star!! ;) Ironically, one of his signature songs that night, as well as in 2002 and the "Concert for New York" in 2001, was a song called "Freedom" ... a song which he hoped would become a rallying 'anthem' after the 9/11 day of infamy.
It didn't. But that's not the point.
The point is - Paul - practice what you preach:
I WANT MY DAMN HAMBURGER AT A MCCARTNEY CONCERT !!! I'M PAYING $6 FRICKIN BUCKS FOR THE THING, AND YOU CAN'T STOP MY 'FREEDOM' FROM HAVING IT !!! /chuckle
(sorry for the yelling, folks :)

...and to celebrate Mondays; I'll go and eat (a large quantity of :) meat, that day.

The ultimate response is Post 14 in the original thread of this story.
"I suspect Ms. Ono has been meat-free for some time now."*GAG / LOL!*

hahaha!
At least WE hear you..not sure about Paul! :)
Probably the only way he would get the message is if people would stop spending their $$$ to see him in concerts!
Gee! If people are willing to spend $200- $300 and more to go to his shows- the least he can do is let them eat their hot dogs in peace!!

I like it, I like it! And “Wings” Wednesdays can be in honor of Sir Paul too.

To: Mr_Moonlight
MM,
You mean you have doubts about his trying that? :)
Why would you doubt it? Doesn’t it soumd like Paul McCartney to you?

was good for the environment because of research suggesting it cuts greenhouse gas emissions from the world's livestock population.
and transfers those emissions to the human eating the vegetarian diet.
Oh yeah, and I'm rooting for Ringo to be the last surviving Beetle.

But, Vatican II took care of that. Incorrect. You've been poorly catechized and are still obliged to abstain from eating meat on Fridays unless your Bishop has deemed otherwise.
Can. 1251 Abstinence from meat, or from some other food as determined by the Episcopal Conference, is to be observed on all Fridays, unless a solemnity should fall on a Friday. Abstinence and fasting are to be observed on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday.

"Incorrect. You've been poorly catechized and are still obliged to abstain from eating meat on Fridays unless your Bishop has deemed otherwise. Actually, I thought the US Bishops conference obtained permission from Rome to allow all Americans to substitute some other charitable work or sacrifice.
Catholic, grade school, high school and college and I never heard differently until now. I'm surprised.
