It is very distrating to try to watch tennis with them all sounding like 500# men trying to climb a hill. I don’t get why it was started? No one used to do that when playing?
I love tennis - set the alarm to wake up in time to watch the slams from Europe - but if there are grunters or shriekers on the court I turn the sound off.
I don't know why it's called "grunting".
They squeak. Loudly.
It's bizarre.
Nothing about men’s grunters? Hmmm? Men do not grunt?
Your obviously not a tennis fan.
not of women’s tennis, particularly. Of men’s yes. Played HS tennis. Saw lotsa of college tennis (didn’t play). I just never found women’s tennis exciting or fun to watch. Men’s tennis has gotten a tad boring too but Nadal vs Federer has brought some excitement back.
I play too. I coached girl’s HS tennis so maybe I appreciate the womens’ game from that.
I’ve been a fan since Chrissy and Jimmy and Arthur and Mac and Borg (yuck) and Nasty and ....
and don’t confuse the fact that I don’t like woman’s tennis with that I don’t think they are talented. They surely are talented and would kick my rear end all over the court. I just don’t think the sport has a competitive nature like you see in men’s tennis. And yeah, I miss the days of Jimmy vs John and John Vs Lendl and the likes of Mats Wilander etc etc.
