I will honor your request. Any chance that amendment applies to myself?
Thank you. Just stay away from personal insults and you’ll be fine. If you can’t make an argument without crude remarks and putdowns, then maybe you don’t have an argument.
Liberal, indoctrinated, commie, bigoted, ignorant, garbage jargon.
Check.
That's great, 'cause that hits them in the pocketbook.
Sarah Palin will undoubtedly be asked, (hopefully she'll be asked), about some of her supporters initiating a 'fire Letterman' campaign and if she believes Letterman should be dismissed.
Here is how I think she would respond -
Well, I think those supporters of mine have their hearts in the right place even if their actions are a bit overzealous. But no, I do not, and would not, wish David Letterman to be fired or dismissed by CBS. ALL of us have that right to speak our minds, though some occasionally abuse that right. That is not to say that when people do abuse the right they shouldn't be called on it. But firing someone for something he said? Nah, that sounds like something the current White House residents would do
And tomorrow’s Powerball numbers?
Thanks for the ping!
I would definitely take part, but I have to work until 6 PM.
A pity these rallies are mostly always held on weekdays.
Sorry. I have to work until 6:00.
To boot, I’ll be on a cruise from Sept 7th to the 12th, too.
You guys have a press team ready? Well I guess that’s okay, considering only Fox News will give you coverage.
Piper is the youngest one.
Ask not just for Letterman’s resignation, but also his writers.....He said what they wrote.
Besides your brilliant retort would you like to state what you believe she would say? Then after, or if, she does I would be afforded the opportunity to gloat. .Because I know that I am right. Why? Gov Palin shares many traits with Jefferson and Reagan, and our two greatest Presidents would have disapproved of the actions, and behavior, on display by some of Palin’s *ahem* supporters.
hi mrs letterman
The first amendment isn't dead, but it is indeed alive and kicking butts! The liberals literally abuse conservatives day in and day out with their profanities, sick comments, and perverted jokes a la Letterman, Jon Stuart, Keith Olbermann, etc., as they know we conservatives quietly take the abuse without doing anything.
It's time to stand up and show them that they aren't the only ones who can make noise when it comes to the valued right to protest.
Those who can't understand the meaning of a protest perhaps don't understand people's constitutional right to peaceably assemble, and yes, rallying to express our indignation for Letterman's outrageous comments directed against the young daughter of a politician.
Letterman's joking about the statutory rape of a young girl is repulsive and beyond the pale. Where is the outrage? Where are those liberal politicians who usually appear on TV screens 24/7 demanding the firing of anyone who makes a joke about one of the liberal sacred icons? One example is Imus with his "nappy-headed hos" comment, and although he apologized profusely and did the whole talk circuit expressing his mea culpa, he was figuratively tarred and feathered, and denounced by every talking head, and was ultimately fired.
The double standard between the treatment of conservatives and liberals should at least be clear in a conservative forum. We can't do much about the rest of the country, who rely on the liberal mainstream media as their source of information for the "daily truth," but God Almighty, shouldn't at least the people on this forum, who self-identify as conservatives, be supportive of those who want to protest the degrading, public treatment of a 14 year-old girl? Why shouldn't people show their indignation, and how can we expect it to stop (or at least be minimized) unless we take a stand?
And NO, Sarah doesn't need to give her approval for any protest. The people don't need her endorsement to exercise their first amendment right. Letterman's comments are not only degrading to Sarah's daughter, but are degrading to all young women as well. Is it somehow OK for an aging man to publicly joke about statutory rape? Is that funny?
Why is OK to joke about that when it is in regards to the children of conservatives, but not OK to joke about it when it is in regards to the children of liberals? Does anyone think Letterman would be off the hook if he directed his venom at Obama's young daughters?
Even though I won't be able to attend because of my work commitments that keep me far from NYC, I will be there in spirit and I'm grateful to all those who can attend.
Demonstrating for the honor of Sarah, Bristol, and Willow Palin is sick?
PING!
I’m on shift that day, and it ends at 6 pm in Silver Spring, MD. (”I’m workin’ here!” as you New Yorkers like to say.)
