It is a matter of duty that they should be awarded the Purple Heart and Combat Infantry Badge, at the least.

Purple Hearts, definately.

But a CIB would depend on their MOS. If it's Combat Arms, like Infantry (11B), yes.
If not there's a new (2005) Award for such MOS's -- the Combat Action Badge.
