Don’t miss out on Lebanon. The lefties friends Hezbullah were soundly defeated.
funny how the rest of the world seem to always go in opposite direction of USA
what would be sad is, if the republicans win, but govern like democrats-lite. The Federal government need MASSIVE spending cuts, not little ones we’ve seen from Republicans so far
Our demographics are likely to bite your behind. Two minorities which comprise 25% of our population, and that number is growing, believe the sole reason for any government is to cater all needs and desires at the expense of others. We have entered the era of entitlements and any politician who stands in the way will be summarily removed from office.
The BNP is not a conservative party
Look for the Dems to have their CLOCKS CLEANED GOOD in 2010.
Folks here tend to forget that as the tea parties grow by leaps and bounds, they WILL HAVE AN EFFECT. We will see 1994 all over again.
You bet Prophet, I believe that we will have a lame duck Obama or even possibly an impeached Obama after 2010.
Why wait?
“...or even possibly an impeached Obama after 2010.”
I’d take it a step farther and demand that rat party members be indicted for sedition. The hate crime laws and the law that nullified the power of state governors and gave power to state legislatures to accept pork money are both clear cases of actively and knowingly undermining our system of government.
There are other examples...
Buyers remorse is in full swing almost now..... it’s not like we didn’t try to warn them
We are starting to see the starts of “buyers remorse”.
The money quote....
“American voters are bombarded by their media with the message that conservatism is dead, because a Democrat got 52 perecent of the presidential vote. Meanwhile, the collapse of the Left proceeds apace elsewhere in the world.”
Not too fast. Republicans need to figure out what they stand for and how they are going to govern in an era of diminished expectation. They cannot oppose tax and spend with no tax but spend even more. They have to get past the idea that American hegemony is the cure for all the world's ills. They have to believe in free market capitalism, not crony capitalism. They have to believe that more government, but privatized is still more government, and probably even less efficient government. They need to believe that less regulation, less intrusiveness is important. They need to disassemble the nanny state. In a country where 1 in 6 GDP dollars goes to health care the solution is not more money to health care, but free market solutions to health care.
At this point your statement is a ridiculous proposition. The Republican Party hasn't done shinola to change it's moderate ways. I think there are more people like me who will no longer vote for a person with an (R) beside their name and will NEVER EVER again vote for a MODERATE or RINO.
The Republicans have to have a conservative vision and be willing to take on the DBM/dems much more readily than they have. They need to get rid of or at the very least wrest control of the party from the likes of McCain, Powell, Snowe, Collins, etc before they regain my support or any vote I may cast vote!
I believe the German Social Democrats are the oldest leftist party in the world and THE most influential.
The Left-wing in Europe essentially support national suicide. They support high levels of immigration of unassimilatable Muslims and oppose any attempt to promote assimilation. The support high levels of welfare spending for these immigrants. They denounce anyone, who questions such policies as racist, neo-nazi and skinheads. Reality is in the process of biting.
It would be the coup de grace if Amadinijad were to loose in Iran too (I know the alternative isn’t exaclte “conservative” or pro-west, but he’s be better than the mad-man who called for the destruction of Israel, and war with the West).
2ndly you also forgot that Netanyahu (and co-parties) won in Israel too!!
All this does is create an opportunity; now we as Conservatives have to show people our vision and how we would govern (and this includes taking back the Republican Party from Liberals).
