Son and I were in line at a grocery store last night. The store caters to predominantly Mexicans and Mexican-Americans because of where it’s located. Oddly, we were in line behind an African American grandmother, mother, and toddler. We are Caucasian though son can and often does pass for Mexican. Anywho, the A-A women had a copy of The Globe or National Enquirer that had a headline about Obama being Gay or some such. As soon as the checker scanned it, the 20ish A-A female grabbed the magazine and started looking for the article. She was narrating what she was doing, “Where is the article about Obama being Gay?” “Look, Mom, he does look gay. His Chi-Chi’s are hard.” (I have on idea what she was talking about.) Mom/Grandma kept telling daughter to hush because she didn’t know who might be listening and who might be offended. Daughter kept reading the story aloud and going on and on about how she thinks Obama is gay. Grandma/Mom was trying to not say anything negative, but she was mouthing off under her breath about Obama having signed something into law and it showing he was not what he had portrayed and that he couldn’t take it back. I don’t know what she was talking about, but she was/is clearly not impressed with Obama. I am waiting to hear about Obama’s poll numbers being in the toilet.

DUH; it’s best never to vote with your feelings, instead it’s wise to vote with the facts-and unless you were blind you KNEW Obama woud be a radical!

A genuine conservative, by definition, does not make choices allowing emotion to override reason. So any claim by a so-called ‘moderate conservative’ that they got ‘caught up’ in the media-driven Obama whirlwind is full of it.
Then (like 60+ million other suckers, er, Americans who need their collective heads examined) you were neglecting your civic duty and weren't paying the slightest attention before you pulled the lever. Like all rubes, you were willingly conned once again. This won't be the last time, either.
Tough luck for you. But it's even tougher luck for the rest of us, who were paying attention, never had a cause for doubt, and were screaming it from the rooftops as the rest of you fools ignored reality and plunged us over the cliff!

Okay, we have reached a point we all knew would come; misguided and ignorant Americans beginning to realize the enormous mistake they’ve made. Now is the time to go on offense looking forward to the 2010 mid-terms.
We, those of us who call ourselves Conservatives, need to educate our ignorant neighbors and family members in true Conservative values. Ignorance has a cure; those who refuse to debate logically their political values are most likely terminal and emotionally driven liberals/socialists. We also need to take back from RINOs and stealth liberals the GOP which used to best represent our Conservative values (VIVA LA REAGAN REVOLUCION!); third party is not an option. Don’t chuck it, fix it. If self-proclaimed Conservatives continue sit on their hands they have no room to complain. If your future is not worth your effort I do not want to hear your whining
I for one have been on my soapbox since Christmas ‘08 at the peril of lost long friendships and family peace, yet it will be all worth it if my kids grow up to enjoy the America I remember. I hope that time will help them see their error in judgment.
Take-up ideas and discussions before it is too late and we are forced to take arms.

We avoid politics as much as we can. Two are elderly and watch Larry King dusk to dawn. All the men are ex-military. All I'm saying is there is a diminsion to this that is more than the voting record. They were sick of Bush. McCain is crazy. I'm not trying to explain it, I'm just stating it as a fact. I'm sure your family is full of Mensa candidates that have wonderful logical discussions. Count yourself lucky.

I agree with you about McCain. I was so mad at him when he voted for the tarp. But as mad as I was with McCain, there was no way in hell I’d vote for Barry.
