Ignore the “in-vitro” in the last post. I had a synapse misfire.
Talk about splitting fine hairs.
In what way?
The minute you advocate investigating every miscarriage as a possible homicide, you open the door to all kinds of speculations, false accusations, and government investigation for a common natural occurrance.
Deciding that life begins at conception does not make every woman a potential murderer needing investigation. At that point, you give the government unlimited opportunity to charge any female with a crime whenever they have it in for someone.
Not to mention the ridiculous amount of time tying up the court system for nothing.
All in all, it’s a ridiculous argument to use against the life begins at conception stand.
The only reason to argue that life does not begin at conception is to justify abortion.
The only reason to oppose the life begins at conception position is to justify abortion.
It was believed that life began at conception for ages, until the pro-abortionists wanted to make abortion less offensive. And all during that time, no one ever considered women who had miscarriages as potential murderers.
It’s a fine line in that it is too easy to cross if someone is looking to get someone with something.
Life begins at conception.
The fertilized egg is growing, it contains human DNA. It’s a living, growing human being. But arguing against that definition is a liberal, pro-abortion position.
Period.
Who is arguing that life doesn’t begin at conception?
It was your irrational tangent accusing me of wanting to charge women who had miscarriages with murder just because I asked a question about barrier methods of birth control.
Apparently it's not going to be possible to get you to consent to a careful examination of existing law and how it could be applied or misapplied by an overzealous prosecutor under a "life begins at conception" doctrine.
There isn't going to be an consideration of possible unintended consequences.
