GENERAL DOUGLAS MACARTHUR ENCOURAGED EVANGELISM
/////////////////
Yep and when he took over Japan he did not allow them to write their own Constitution. That was the mistake in Iraq. Their constitution mandates
“No Law shall contradict islam”
But what if a great big shipment of the English version of the Koran was sent by a pro-Islamic group for the sole purpose of distribution to our troops in a Kumbaya gesture so that they would be better able to understand what makes the Muzzie tick? Would they be burned as a matter of expediency? My bet is that they would be distributed or reverently warehoused. Can the use for which Bibles are intended wipe out their status as holy books, thereby rendering them as fit for burning as unused racing forms?
I was trained as a lawyer but eschewed JAG while in the army in favor of becoming an Armor officer. I do know that it is not wise to court disfavor with a Deity we need to assure our victory by burning His book, especially when it is done so as not to offend the god of the enemy. (Yes, I do not believe that the God embodied in Judeo-Christian tradition is the same as the god of militant Islam. The God of my understanding would never condone the severing of heads from bodies or treating their women less nicely than their camels. As there is only one God, our enemies are not only inhumam vermin, but godless inhuman vermin as well.)
Political Correctness is more anathemaic to victory in wartime than cowardice.
