from the article.........She announced her hepatitis diagnosis last year and said that the disease was likely caused by her drug use years ago.

I saw her at the Airman's Club at Keesler AFB back in 1974. I have to say that she did the military circuit and didn't diss the military. She was gracious to us then. I wish her well.

I don’t think Nat King Cole was Horse user I think you mixing him up with Ray Charles he was serious Horse user

They are really glossing over hep c and how it’s trasmitted.
It can be transmitted through any kind of body fluids. You can get it from dirty needles - drug kind, or tattoo kind. Blood transfusion if it wasn’t screened properly. Generally any activity where you trade blood or bodily fluids from one to another. Although they say sexual transmission is really low.

Kidney transplant? Did Wanda Sykes put a curse on Natalie, too?
Seriously, prayers for a full recovery.

I dont think Nat King Cole was Horse user Nat's drug of choice was tobacco.
One of Nat's close friends told me that Nat regularly puffed three to four packs of cigarettes a day. Nat died of lung cancer at age 45.

A lot of people think of Nat as a smooth crooner of easy listening songs, but he was a heck of a jazz pianist and bandleader before then.

Luckily, I have many of Nat’s songs that were burned direct from the master tapes with in-studio chatter. The talk is so interesting and the sonics are quite spectacular using tube electronics back in the 50’s.
Nat’s jazz trio was awesome. btw, Diana Krall’s early tribute to his trio performances is easily her best album.

Well, he was a pretty great all-around entertainer. If you catch any of his original variety show (I saw it when they ran it on BET), it was an instant classic. Such a shame there is virtually no one left of his calibre, Black or White, today.
