Yeah - SURE!!!

And THAT is why the Dems were able to sweep Congress in TWO major elections - 2006 and 2008.

Unless the GOP and we conservatives stop defending a guy and his administration which was, by and large, hardly a conservative one and admit Bush was a poor President, we will be tarred with the brush of his incompetence.

When Bush ran the first time around, I and many other conservatives were suspicious of this guy knowing what a loser his father was. Towards the end of his first term we knew our concerns were justified. The man was an embarrassment. He could barely frame a lucid sentence. The closeness of his victory in two elections, given the even greater mediocrity of his two opponents should justify what I have been saying.

GWB did more than any Democrat to damage the GOP and conservatives in general. Its about time we stopped defending him.

What you re saying about the media and the easely influenced youth is true. But there was far more behind Obama's win than that. Both Bush and McCain share the lion's share of the blame for the closet Muslim in the White House.

Good grief I’m not suggesting by any means that Hussein cares one whit about America, only that (at least for the meantime) political realities have forced him into letting stand the-let me say, practical continuance, rather than policy-of President Bush’s administration. How could you read everything I’ve posted in this thread and think that I believe that Hussein has any concern for anything other than his poll numbers as they affect his power to enact his socialist agenda? He’s acting from political expediency, which means he’d just as soon, when expedient, carry out his campaign promises of things which will undermine American security. I think for now he’s primarily concerned with getting his way in domestic policy, ie socialising and tyrannising America. When he secures that, he can more readily turn to foreign affairs without worrying about being accountable to the country.
