I think there is a connection between these morons and the Campaign Finance Reform Legislation enacted by the Idiot McCain and his fruity left-wing sidekick Finegold.

Only very wealthy egotists like McCain, Kerry, Gore, the Bushes, Bloomberg, Corzein, etc can afford to run for higher office.

Well-qualified candidates are shut out unless they too are extremely affluent, but the super-rich tend to be liberals anyway as they are divorced from the realities of real life.

However, an unforeseen event giving the zerO another chance would pretty much grant these *people* the power to literally change our Constitution, subverting the amendment process.

Another good point. Only the wealthy (spoiled brats attending prestigious schools) get a shot at the highest office, unless, in the case of Obama, affirmative action raises a potential candidate who then is 'endorsed' by the moneyed interests who set the agenda. Sure would be nice to know where his $600 mill came from.

Power hungry freedom attackers. Gun control is actually a part of their fixation on citizen control. If you look at all the things they want to control, guns is just a part of it. It is the one thing that really pisses off a lot of Americans.

Property rights.

What kind of car we are “allowed” to drive.
Where we live.
Who our doctor is
All this and more add up to citizen control. They are jealous of the power that Castro and Chavez have and are working to out do them.

FYI: The 2nd Amendment is SELF-incorporated to all government entities at every level. It is MORE ABSOLUTE than the 1st Amendment, or any of the others, because the wording forbids not only CONGRESS, but ANYONE from infringing on it. The 1st says “Congress shall make no law...”. The 2nd say “shall NOT be infringed!” Period! End of debate!
