This is nothing new.
I was reading a blog the other week, and there were some of these “tolerant” liberals on there blaming everyone but themselves (as usual) and whining about the criticism of their beloved dear leader. Well one of them said: “In order to feel better in these hard economic times, you should push a Republican off a bridge and watch them drown”
