But, see Montana, Texas, Tennessee, Idaho, and Utah: “Feds can shove gun laws in our state, for guns made and used in this state (which therefore never moved in interstate commerce).”

This is already settled case law... It's how the government managed to expand federal control over EVERYTHING via the interstate commerce clause.

The government will claim that since those guns manufactured and sold exclusively within the state influences the interstate sales of other gun manufacturers, because the people in that state ARE NOT buying the guns of out of state manufacturers!

The original case came from a farmer who claimed exemption from federal control because he was only feeding himself and his family, and since he wasn't buying or selling anything, his farm didn't fall under federal control. The court ruled that since he wasn't buying farm goods from out of state vendors, his lack of purchasing WAS affecting interstate commerce.

So the court ruled effectively that both doing stuff and not doing stuff affects interstate commerce, so the federal government has jurisdiction everywhere, over everything, through the interstate commerce clause of the Constitution.

It might be “settled case law,” but the Montana law reminds the federal government that a contract was formed between the State of Montana and the United States that included the recognition of the right “as it existed in 1889.” So the feds can point to the more recent case you describe and void the Montana law, and then Montana can point to their contract - and secede. There will be a showdown. Obama can't stand up to terrorists, can he stand up to Montanans? (Probably he can and will, they're not trying to destroy America as the terrorists are, and Obama's goal is that destruction.)

the 2nd Amendment prohibits EVERYONE from infringing the rights of the people.

And we've seen how well that worked. Remember the armed uprisings that rolled back earlier infringements of the Second Amendment?

I don't.

Gator,, I'm with you ,, It's getting close to the time for all of us to stand to up for our rights as AMERICANS.

Should have been standing up a LONG time ago instead -- but thanks for the admission.

Too many did too little for way too long. Now you get to enjoy the fruits of inaction. (Take a look at my profile.)

"I don’t know any SWAT members that would, and I know more than a few (all Boy Scouts, and good for them!). "

Let me introduce you to the real world. Many LE agencies use a test know as the Minnesota Multiphase Personality Index - aka: MMPI. It can be used to sort out who responds to authoritative commands and who wouldn't. In other words, it would help to find the perfect German - box car loader, camp administrator - what have you.

There is no shortage of wannabe Himmlers.

Wow, just...wow. You need to stitch you argument together a little tighter. The MMPI can be used for a lot of things, including whether you have feminine characteristics. As far as taking the MMPI proving you’d make a Nazi? Put your thinking cap back on and take a deep breath. I took the MMPI three times in my career, and I’m neither a cop or a Nazi (airline pilot). The MMPI measures 10 different clinical scales (and lots of others including tendency towards addiction).

Clinical Scales

1 Hs Hypochondriasis Concern with bodily symptoms
2 D Depression Depressive Symptoms
3 Hy Hysteria Awareness of problems and vulnerabilities
4 Pd Psychopathic Deviate Conflict, struggle, anger, respect for society’s rules
5 MF Masculinity/Femininity Stereotypical masculine or feminine interests/behaviors
6 Pa Paranoia Level of trust, suspiciousness, sensitivity
7 Pt Psychasthenia Worry, Anxiety, tension, doubts, obsessiveness
8 Sc Schizophrenia Odd thinking and social alienation
9 Ma Hypomania Level of excitability
0 Si Social Introversion People orientation

If you’re interested I could post some references for you...if you’re interested (sounds like you could use a little review as to what the MMPI is about). Since you posted taking the MMPI as a basis for cops taking orders, I wanted to point out that that’s not the only reason they take the test. Lots of other reason for sure, and I rather doubt that it’s done to see if they’d make good Nazis (your point, not mine).

Do you suppose I’d qualify to be in the Luftwaffe since I’ve taken it so many times? :-0

Your post don't make sense.

Like you said, the MMPI can be used for many things. I worked for an agency that used it to decide who would go into an 'elite' (IW stops to snicker) career criminal detail/Narcs .... all of whom were noted 'stooge type' individuals.

All of whom knew nothing a al Sgt. Schultz
