Anybody boosting Romney had better have asbestos underwear.
I love argument, I love debate. I don't expect anyone just to sit there and agree with me, that's not their job. --Margaret Thatcher
I believe you somewhat about domestic enemies. We can be destroyed by either. The outside destroys by making us weak and the inside destroys the same way; only the tools are different.
The real problem is that it is easy to see the outside more than the inside.
I only asked because it did appear to me that individuals who might be voting for someone more as a way to avoid a larger kind of evil are being castigated and I don’t think that is right.
If we want to have candidates worthy of our vote, we need to vote for them. I voted for John McCain and regardless of what people on here think of him, he served this country and if he were in office today, I do not think we’d be trying to push against the tide of what is happening right now - ala Freedom of Choice Act; universal health care coming to a town near you; and so on.
I am as heartbroken as the next patriot on this site - just heartbroken. Moreso, because I see these despicable people as not only going against what this nation was built upon, but going against the very commands of God almighty, and let me assure you that my love, devotion, and loyalty go to God above all else.
So thank you for your kind response.
P.S. And I think it was despicable to see Obama go overseas and insult America and then bow to that Saudi king - esp. disconcerting when you think that this country was founded specifically NOT to be a monarchy.
I could go on a long rant here but it would serve no purpose. I only hope that those who equate Conservatism to the Republican Party, in all matters, get the message and move on. Frankly I am tired of Party UberAlles.
Duncan Hunter has no chance in hell.. Sarah Palin in 12..
That’s not quite true, Reagan came very close to winning the GOP nomination in 1976.
What proactive things can we do beyond this site? Tea Parties are just the beginning for me!...
Glen Beck! PS, have you noticed how much more conservative sounding O’Riely has become since his arrival at FOX?
A wanker is somebody who engages in self ego gratification (original term meant a participant in, er, “solitary vice”).
“Yeah - the WAnkers include some with fake pictures on their profile pages to match their fake conservative ideals”
Please post a list so I can watch out for them. What is the definition of WAnkers on this forum, is it similar to mental master bation.
Robert Green Ingersoll - Indianapolis Speech (1876)
“I am opposed to the Democratic party, and I will tell you why....”

“1. Traditional family values or, as sometimes stated, social issues are essential for a stable and productive society but they can not and really should not be the function of the government .... especially the Federal Government. These issues are best left to the churches and communities.”
But if we continue to sit on our hands and allow those who wish the federal gov to have the final say on all issues in that area, we capitulate to them.
Fighting for traditional values means, imo, fighting against those who encroach upon them or work to undermine them, for whatever reason.
Mitt Romney, for one.
;)
Thinking of the larger population. Republicans knew him well.
Not of offend Scotch men, (my dad was one) :O)
placemark
He was very well known and don’t forget that in the 1970s nearly all people of voting age were old enough to remember Reagan from the movies and “Death Valley Days”.
Heh. Talk about irony.
I remember what seemed like 3/4 the posters here whining about McCain and how it was a shame we didn't nominate "real conservative" Mitt Romney. I also remember needing asbestos underwear myself for pointing out that Romney as much, if not more, of a RINO as McCain.
I politely disagree. He just has to get a following of people who agree with him on the core issues.
What kind of executive experience did Obama have?
What U.S. state did Obama govern before he was elected POTUS?
Besides, if Hunter served out one full term as Governor, he'd be at least 65 years old (likely closer to 70) before he'd be able to run for President.
Not a good strategy, IMO.
The time is now.
