Shame on me for not remembering (and I have read that book a half-dozen times).

Seems to me a holiday would spread that around a bit.

Many of us have focused on how this would/does/could affect us, but things down there haven't exactly been hunky-dory, either.

Maybe this isn't about the US (collateral damage) so much as it is about disrupting the goings on down there.

Of course, the bunch pulling the strings in Washington are not the types to waste a good crisis, either...
