I don’t like secession; I’d prefer revolution. The Colonists didn’t move, they threw the British and Loyalists out. Instead of us leaving the Union, we should throw the Liberals out!

Wonderful idea, let us Texans declare war against the rest of the US, and gradually take back our country, one state at a time, and we can let the bluest of the blue to last, while they starve.
I am a native Texan. I just read your profile. You've been ACCEPTED!!! Welcome to Texas!!!
We Texans? Be careful what you wish for, Ted, they may send you back to Michigan ...
...............
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just stop paying federal taxes as a state and start printing your own money, then see what happens.
Ok, I can come then, just BYOA (Bring your own Ammo)
Fumigate it, and what does survive, gets put on a work farm...
Let’s secede. I seceded from New York in 1971, so I’m ready for this. LOL
We CANNOT legally secede. There, you are saying we need to be wiling to use violence.
“Welcome anyway”
Thanks, just like a Texan (and one of the reasons I moved here - friendliness), even it is 34 years late (moved to Houston in 1975),
But most of all, Texas is a ‘working’ state. People move here to work, not to enjoy the freebee’s or bask in the sunshine on their retirement.

Wonderful Idea
LOL
1 - “If we did secede, you can count on one thing: the border with Mexico would be secured pretty darned fast. “
...
Great idea, but let us consider and act - why do we have to wait until we succeed to do this now. We Texans can secure our Texas border with Mexico, and to hell with the Federal border with Mexico.
Then we could tax all entries into Texas, with illegal entrants being taxed most highly before they are sent back across the Texas border.
Just an idea.
As the son of a Texas woman, and a Texan at heart myself (hey, I even went to High School in Lubbock when I was a junior!), I must say - well said!

Great post, spikey. It’s a keeper.
I wish I shared your confidence that we will get through this regime, though, without being irreparably altered. We have already lost so much.
Super! Now if property values would just go up here in Fl so I can sell my house and move, Im all over it! If not, when you secede, I will just do what I gotta to get there! Thanks for the nod......
