The radio I bought is a Grundig...very nice for about $65. AM/FM is very high quality....nice for listening while in the kitchen.
I thought battery powered shortwave would be nice to have- just in case.
If the Feds ever silenced talk radio- my bet is that several of the loudest voices would move offshore...and on shortwave (or satellite radio).
