Where are the progressives? Largely absent. Or talking issue by issue, not about general themes.

Liberal 'progressives' are hardly absent--in the school curriculums foisting sexual perversion into childrens minds and revisionist history. In the judiciary making laws and thwarting the will of the people. In the government overtaxing, overregulating and weakening constitutional foundations by feckless politicians. In the MSM twisting truth's and being complete cheerleaders for a president who trashed America to the world. Shall we continue??? No, but progressives are highly active and despise that talk radio and other patriots forms of expression are revealing the light of truth and reality. As light to a vampire progressives fear the constitution-loving, God respecting patriots of Talk Radio and it's success with the real back-boned American people where the conservative message resonates.

After listening to DEAD AIR AMERICA for about an HOUR (spread over several YEARS) LIBERA-”Marxist PROGRESSIVES” etc have been Unable to develop a “VOICE” for one reason.. HATE BUSH, IDIOT BUSH, HITLER BUSH is funny for about 30 seconds then it Grates..

Attention Mr. LACKOFF (Rhymes With)... you have no Limbaugh style voice because you have no TALENT!!! You can place a great hollywierd Celebretard infront of a MIC, and it doesn’t make them a Talk radio Host.

So, Mr. LACKOFF (Rhymes WITH) QUIT your WHINING (another thing LIBERALS DO WELL), and go find something ELSE to do.
YOU “MarxistProgressives” have All but maybe 3 newspapers, ALL the NETWORK NEWS, and ALL OF CABLE (except FOX). We have FOX and talk Radio.. and you GREEDY, SELFISH, Scums don’t even want us to have THAT SMALL point of the Media Market.

In Conclusion Mr. LACKOFF (RHYMES WITH) ... you snivelling, marxist wannabe, with no regard for anyone else’s CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS, I wish you to now permanently SUFFER IN OBSCURITY... Waaahhh!!!

Words, even those heard casually and listened to incidentally, activate frames - structures of ideas that are physically realized in the brain. The more the words are heard, the more the frames are activated in the brain, and stronger their synapses get - until the frames are there permanently.

Lakoff could just as easily have been waxing poetic about the public school system, here. His little bonsai tree of a brain must be awfully fragile, that he fears occasional exposure to Rush Limbaugh could undo all those decades of faulty synapses being formed.

The problem is, those thoughts on the radio are hate city. Savage rails against what he calls “the weakening of the military” by “affirmative action,” “illegal immigrants,” and “Marxist politicians.” What proves it?

.
Lakoff should listen to the points Savage is making, not rhetorically ask in news print

I hope Rush doesn't mention this article. If it wasn't for Rush hardly anyone would have heard of Lackoff. Kind of like Olberman constantly goading Bill O’Reilly just to get attention.

LOL hilarious. As if Rush, Hannity and Savage are magnets that are forcing people across the country to turn on their radios and listen in. These people are so sick in the head, I probably shouldn’t be laughing.

Jeez, what a baby. Never consider why it is that you control most of the media and still can’t bury conservative talk radio.

Rush is a cut above anyone in the business, no question. But it is the message, not the messenger.

How great is the “progressive” message if they have to resort to laws and hate to stay in the game??

More from the article:

“Can President Obama overcome all this? He is by far the best communicator in politics today. But what we get of him are sound bites, an occasional major address, and a five-minute talk Saturdays on You Tube. Meanwhile, the reporting in the media is about positions on issues, not about general principles that get repeated.

The president does, indeed, think and talk using general principles: empathy (caring about others), responsibility for both oneself and others, and the ethic of excellence - working to make yourself, your community, the nation and the world better. He sees these as the basis of American democracy: Empathy is why we have principles like freedom and fairness, not just for ourselves but for everybody.

In the absence of nationwide media cover, the president has to go barnstorming. His former campaign organization has chosen to reactivate its ground game to try to get ordinary people to go door-to-door, speaking in their own words from their own experiences, to gain support for his policies. The idea is for ordinary people to say what they sincerely believe to their neighbors.”

Um...That 2nd paragraph could have been said by ANYONE, Bush, Palin, McCain, Rush, Hannity, Beck, ect. I guess the left just doesn’t listen.

About that 3rd paragraph... MY GOD, if he is the best communicator in politics today, why would he need to send out a group of supporters to my house! What if I don’t agree with my neighbor is that ok? Isn’t that what Talk Radio does, you can listen to whoever talk about their true feelings! And if you don’t want to listen you can choose to turn the damn radio off. But coming to my house is a totally different thing! These people live in a dream world!

The headline implies that “progressive” means “liberal,” but that’s incorrect. The dictionary definition of “progressive” is “doing something to achieve progress.” Progress is determined by each person’s opinions. I think that Rush’s ideas would cause progress and that Barack’s ideas would greatly harm our country.

Progressives Liberals Lack a Limbaugh-Like Voice

After that slight correction, lets spell out the facts. Its an impossible task preaching the liberal philosophy for 3 hours a day like Rush does with the conservative agenda and expect the same success with listeners that Rush has. Same for Hannity, Beck, Levin and the other talkers on rightwing radio. But that doesn't mean the liberal establishment doesn't have their leftwing mouth organs.

ABCNNBCBS, along PBS/NPR and the crude humor of Comedy Central, reach a lot of viewers each day. Spewing the Democratic Party propaganda as they do and spreading misinformation that feeds the emotionally deranged mindset of anyone dumb enough to tune in.

Lets not forget what six-time presidential candidate for the Socialist Party of America and co-founder of the ACLU, Norman Thomas, said some years ago:

"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism, but under the name of liberalism they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program until one day America will be a socialist nation without ever knowing how it happened."

Well, some of us will know how it happened. Others will not.

OH BS! Have this George guy ever watched Network News!

If they had a “Limbaugh-like voice,” they’d be conservatives.

“Where are the progressives?”

Simple, they’re in and have taken over virtually every institution in the country. Look at practically any media outlet today and they own it or run it or both.

“First thing that the “progressives” need to do is drop that false label (you call this progress?) and instead name themselves Commie Radio. That’s guaranteed to pull in a lot of publicity and listeners just on shock, provocateur values. :)”

Yes, so-called “Progressives” would like to progress back to 1917 and the Bolshevik Revolution.

Sorry Lackoff. Your describing liberal Democrats not Conservatives.

I think a reasonable person would conclude that the media as a whole is roughly 50% liberal/progressive, 35% neutral and perhaps 10% conservative in nature.

The author’s problem is that objectively moderate opinions that are from his far-left perspective really conservative. Thus to him 80% to 90% of media appears conservative.

They control 99% of the media in this country and thats simply not good enough for them. They want to literally stamp out all dissent.
