Go to AR15.com (arfcom) and read their ammo section. You will learn the truth about almost anything in the relevant sections on that site. Gun stores and gun shows are where legends and falsehoods are propagated for decades.

They can do that and more with their new state of the art facility.

I don’t doubt they can do it; I was just pointing out what “2.5 billion rounds a year” actually means.
Now we know where all the primers are going.

Yes indeed... a Winchester spokesman in a thread on ar15.com said that they were diverting primers etc to their full ammo lines for the foreseeable future. I have plenty of empty and lonely brass waiting for supplies.

I walk around all day sounding just like that! Try some online companies... Weidners, Palmetto State Armory, Surplusammo.com, Sportsmansguide.com, Midway, Georgia Arms, spragues.com, Cabelas, ammotogo.com etc... and put some ammo on backorder. There a some fair prices available but one mostly has to wait for delivery.

thanks for the net sites...Ive looked at several on yer list, and always found that shipping was the backbreaker...cause if I just waited till we had reason to go to the big city, this particular store *always* had the better pricing...
as I was comparing prices for ammo & supplies, on gunbroker for example, i was seeing guys biddin up 1k primers for 60-80 bucks plus shipping...or wolf 7.62 for $100 plus bucks for a couple hundred rounds...
I thought it was crazy as I could buy all I could afford for $28/1k [primers] or 500 rnds loaded for $120...then when I finally get back to town, bang, its all gone...and the easy sales pitch is just plain wrong...
again, thanks for the stores online...

You bet... it takes a bit of an effort but you can find stuff. As a member of Sportsmansguide.com, I receive free shipping via ground. Good luck!
