Not the ones from Houston and Austin.
You know, JV, I've thought the same thing for a while now. Even when Republicans do good, solidly conservative stuff, he's constantly negative about it, thereby undermining not only them, but the good, solidly conservative stuff they just did. Makes me think he's more interested in attacking conservatism than helping it.
Republicans not only crossed lines, they are sponsoring bills.

Yep, they are in major compromise mode with crunch time on the budget. I don’t know if they pulled an all nighter Friday or not but they were discussing the possibility..
So I am a liberal because I call out Perry on his EO that forced ten year old girls to receive the HPV Vaccine?
Should I give Perry a pass on that matter simply because he is a Republican?
As for your other questions, I have written numerous posts against America’s move to socialism, no matter what the party ID is of the person that is forcing that socialism upon us.
This morning, I wrote a post against Obama’s support of the two state solution in Israel. However, I and other posters pointed out that Obama was simply following the same two state solution policy that was advocated by President Bush.
Troll - get back under the bridge
“Not the ones from Houston and Austin.”
OH, I forgot about the Transplanted Californians in Austin, and the Mexican Population in Houston.....Democrats who escaped from a Failed State, and a Failed Mexican Economy, trying to Tell Texans they were being too Successful without them.
Time will bring ‘em around....or BHO in action for another year will convert them for sure.
Totally agree.
I do enjoy watching Texas Porker playing though.
OOPS! lol
There has only been one perfect man in all of the history of the world--and we crucified Him.
I would strongly recommend that he veto the appropriation bill for legislative pay for the upcomming fiscal year.
"But House Republicans had other reasons to vote for the Davis amendment.
"Farrar was scheduled to propose other amendments that would take money out of Perrys office and put it into programs that would be tough to vote against, such as services for people with mental disabilities and care for the elderly. By voting for the Davis amendment, Republicans were able to take all of her proposals off the table, because there was nothing left in the governors budget from which to pull money. And nobody is worried that Perry will be left without a budget in the end."
In other words, it was a legislative ploy. By voting for Davis' amendment, the GOPers basically robbed the Dems of the opportunity to ram a bunch of other programs through via amendment. Probably will end up saving Texan taxpayers a bundle, too.
BTW, the $18 million that Davis (temporarily) transferred from the Governour's office was not new spending, it was merely moving money around within the budget. It was done to shoot down the Dems from adding in new programs with the Governour's office money (programs which would eventually receive more and more funding in the years to come). Davis and the GOP know that Perry is likely to veto anything that defunds the governour's office (assuming the budget even makes it through the TX Senate), and that the Dems don't have nearly enough votes - even if they did have some crossover GOPers - to override.
Sometimes, if you want to understand what's going on in a legislature, you have to look beyond the surface.
No, when and if conservatives do something that is Conservative, I will not be negative about it. However, when Republicans do things that are not conservative, I will be be negative.
For example, last September when the Bail Outs were proposed by Bush, I voiced my opposition. And when I raised my opposition, some posters blasted me for being against Bush.
Do not change the subject. Show me 20 posts you wrote against Obama socialism, left wing liberalism, and defeatism. Just 20 posts. You probably write dozens of posts a week and all what I am asking you is to show me 20 posts against Obama policies. Go ahead, I am waiting.
How are the bluebonnets this year out west of I-35?.... I’ve not been on that side of I-35 but they have done well on this side it seems. This rain should help the parched fields some.
And I am not going to criticize Perry or Jindal for not taking the stimulus money. However, when Perry is discussed, his past views are relevant to the discussion.
Plans for HPV vaccines and Toll Roads should not be forgotten.
Actually, after a slow start, they are quite nice. I certainly wouldn’t call it a banner year—and it seems that there aren’t nearly enough Indian Paint Brush as there should be, but on the whole, the Bluebonnets are lovely. There are some very nice fields between Marble Falls and Lampassas.
I was not aware that there was a quota on FR of the number of posts we are required to write against Obama. Instead, I thought the objective of FR was to defend and promote conservatism.
You can do a search and look through all of my post and you will see that I am consistently conservative.
However, when people who claim to be conservative do things that are not conservative, I will slam them. I despise hypocrisy.
I sincerely hope we can get someone like Jerry Patterson to run in the next election--a true conservative candidate that we can all get behind!
Even if that should happen though--whoever holds the office has to compromise from time to time--depending on the makeup of the congress.
