The only reason to register firearms is to ease later confiscation.

Prozac Joe is down and feeling like a shooting spree, but his gun is registered. What will he do? He knew he shouldn’t have registered that gun, but he was up at the time, high on 0bama and change. But wait. Things are really bad. Registered or not, Joe is going to do it, and then he will do himself. Yeah, that’s the ticket. See if a registered gun can stop him.
Registration is good for one thing, ...confiscation. All the commies know it.

sure I'll register mine. Just as soon as she registers all of hers and her families and her body guards.
Just as soon as the democrats start with gun confiscation in California, I'll be in line to register my guns.
She needs to first get California to have a gun ban. Take all the guns away from everybody in California and insure that they work properly and are registered.
Then they should do the same thing in New York.
Let's see how things work out and maybe keep trying it in all the democrat controlled areas of the country.

And having no water in west Texas is the problem.
I live on Lake Michigan and nothing will get me to live in a dry, remote place.

What more does she want? She wants to register your gun so that they will know who has a gun once it comes time to confiscate them.
Confiscation: That's what she really wants.

Canada tried such a pervasive gun registration system. They spent $2B on it, it did nothing useful, vast portions of the population refused to comply, and the registration system is now being dismantled.

Our forefathers pledged exactly those. We owe it to them to do the same.

But, if the gun used in the commission of a crime has been stolen, the criminal can be let go and the owner of the gun can be prosecuted.I find that very hard to believe. Do you have support for this claim?

They tried this in Canada. Non-compliance was so high they just gave up on it.

I agree...I thought you were talking about gun ownership restrictions. The biggest speed bump here in Texas is ..... ......that thing about, if you need more than three guys to move, serve, and shoot it.
Not counting the forward observer.
