I was active Carter to Reagan. We used to have to go see the Sgt Major to sign out 5 gallons of gas from the motor pool. I have to agree. I think you have to let this particular hostage situation play out in it's own timetable. I don't see any favorable military options. The lifeboat is just too small to launch any kind of offensive without putting the hostage at extreme risk.

My measure of Barry and what he's made of, will come during the period immediately following this standoff. If, as he should, strikes the ports of these "Pirate" towns and their training camps and homes, with decisive firepower, then I'll hold my criticism. If, he does nothing (I believe he will do nothing), and looks for some UN solution (an oxymoron if ever there was one), then we'll know that he's an idiot who's hell-bent on the destruction of the US.
