I think the pirates maybe happier than American moonbats over Obama's election.

I watched for or five or so amateur videos on You Tube shot of Eyl, Somalia today; some guy with a handicam just walking around. They even have a little restaurant in the downtown section, where the hostages, when taken ashore, are all assembled for meals and kept in one place. The restaurant owner is making a killing. Al Jazeera or some other outlet said the place is becoming a boom town in the midst of squalor around it. People starting to drive Mercedes, women wearing top of the line clothes and jewelry. This is all PIRATE MONEY which is boosting the local economy of Eyl, it is said. You cant make this stuff up.The pirates are very visable. They own mansions big Toyota Land Cruisers. They live in walled compounds. In other words they are fixed targets and can be wasted from the air which is what I advocate once we get our hostages back...or maybe before

That makes 20 Americans held hostage around the world. And the Obscenity in Chief struts the stage with his thumb in his butt.
Does anyone know if these are Americans or Italians? The tugboat was flying under an Italian flag.

yes, an op-ed apology for the desperately poor somalis having to resort to piracy and ransom to make a living is in the works, i am sure.

He has already forgotten about a frikkin ICBM test launched at the US exactly on week ago, transitting over an ally's land where we have 38,000 American troops stationed...he did SQUAT...and he is still sucking down a pizza and saying, "guys, we are talking about housing here."
He talks "HOUSING."
What we are getting is a "HOSING."
Sure the pirates watched that. AND his bow to the Saudi King. AND his video love letter to the Iranians. AND his declaration that the "War on Terror" is over. AND his closing Gitmo and releasing terrorists into the general US populace. All in less than three months.
It will catch like wildfire, this new boldness against anyone and anything American. The pirates are just the beginning.

I can think of at least 3 different plans of action that could be carried out by the forces at hand, but I’m not about to post them in a public forum that is monitored mnot only by domestic enemies of our form of government (Democrats), but foriegn ones as well....Loose Lips...

During WWI and WW2 merchant ships were equipped with guns mounted on the stern to protect against attack. Something like this:

Meanwhile pirates holding a US captain hostage have warned that using force to rescue him could result in "disaster". Good grief, is there anyone in US government that will respond to the pirates with something like this?
Your decision to capture him using force will result in 'disaster' for you.

0boma is almost a Somalian himself. Check out a map Kenya borders Somalia He's already sent them a text message via his blackberry congratulating them on an outstanding job and wishing he was there with his brothers helping them with the ransom money they the American taxpayers can give them.

Soon to be followed by a third, fourth, fifth, and ... It's not the 2nd U.S. owned ship to be captured by pirates. Some of the other captured ships were U.S. owned, but like this one, flying the flags of other nations.

On the one hand, you want the Navy to blow these bastards straight to hell, on the other hand you want Obama to fail.
On the realistic hand, it doesn’t matter what you want, because Obama is going to do what he will do, and his policies will result in failure no matter what one wishes or hopes for.

In my opinion, it has to do with the culture of our nation, but by and large sad to say, the American People are much more “dumbed down” and morally corrupted, as well as unread and insular if you ask me, in 2009 than they were in 1976. A lot has changed. I wouldnt put it past America to re-elect the jackass even AFTER major foul ups overseas for the next four years. Whereas they had the common sense, mental engagement and sense of responsibility as individual Americans, that Reagan HAD to be put in to stop that earlier disaster. I do wonder at times.
