I know agree that the increase by a third in CO2 recently is a factor in global warming.

Then how do you explain all the data that shows that CO2 levels trail the warming trend from research into past warming cycles?

Disclaimer: This isn’t close to my area of expertise. But as I understand it rising temperatures also cause processes that increase CO2 leading to a feedback cycle until something else causes cooling.

BTW, that’s one of the big problems with the Al Gore wing - they don’t want to talk about the other factors and how they compare.

Uhhh...

...that’s confusing. The relationship between IR absorption and CO2 is logarithmic not linear.

I’m not sure if this has been quantified...I’m pretty sure it has not.

There is a great two page paper by Professor R. W. Wood from 1909 that really nails the whole GHG mess.

Read here:

Presents reasoned information in re the effect of cloud cover, revealing the complexity of interactions between cloud cover, solar radiation and resultant temperature effects and trends. Yet, I am told, the mathematic models of atmospheric dynamics that heve been used (exploited?) in concocting the carbon dioxide myth do not take into account the effects of clouds. If true, such models do not deserve their name.

"I think Algore and his minions should bring a legal case against the sun. The sun shouldn’t be allowed to not have sunspots and to cause global warming! Where’s the justice?!!!! Let’s get the Greenie’s mobilized!!!!!"

Yes! And Sol, being inSOLvent, will have his penaltie$ covered in the suit by the US taxpayers. Some of us can even serve time for him if he gets sentenced to jail. After all, isn't the US a bottomless abyss full of cash and time for the taking?

If this deep solar minimum continues and our planet cools while CO2 levels continue to rise, thinking needs to change.

Would that be before or after we spend the $20 Trillion to reduce global carbon dioxide emissions?
