There are outdoor ranges designed for exactly such practice (rapid high-volume fire, multiple targets, while moving).
The lone rookie cop in the Carolinas that stopped a much worse nursing home massacre 2 weeks ago didn’t follow policy or “follow orders.”
He went straight in, alone with no backup, killed the bad guy, and took a bullet in the process.
Maybe it’s a Southern thing. But that’s a man. That’s a hero.
I agree completely. However, any patrolman or deputy who did this in most agencies would be administratively disciplined for violating P&P (albeit quietly if he was revered as a hero in the press).
A brave guy, and that includes taking the heat from admin.
I am sorry I insulted you.
“It must be that when confronted with the horror of what he just did he must have had a minor attack of conscience or something. Why else stop when you still have ammo and targets? I am guessing when the saw the results of what he was doing he just decided to end things early.”
I think you give him too much credit. It is a cowardly act to walk in and shoot helpless people. The cowardice is overcome with rage. Once the rage was spent, he took the cowards way out. Much easier than spending the rest of his life sharing a cell with a large hairy man with no other sexual outlet.
Thank you, sir. Of course, apology accepted. You have my sincere and humble gratitude for your decent, gentlemanly amends.
I thought the same thing as I watched the cops cower behind their cars ...whatever happened to bravery?
just like Columbine
So what?
That makes the actions of the rookie cop with no backup at the nursing home even more remarkable.
He just manned up and went in, solo, follwing the sound of the shots.
He deserves the honor of a great hero.
And I’m glad he’s a Southerner.
Not to disparage Yankees, but the comparison to the events in NY is rather stark.
Yea, Ok Quick Draw McGraw.
You missed the point entirely.
Now, run along and boast about your abilities to someone else.
