Global cooperation to rein in rogue states is not a bad idea in principle

Most pipe dreams are not. The problem is that they really are not "rogue" states. They have agendas and they have friends and enemies.

We know from the Cold War days that Russia knows how to run these states and we don't--at least not very well, and with Obama it ain't gonna happen. Russia has no incentive to rein them in, they cause us far more trouble than they do the Russians. Ditto the Chinese btw.

Russia just announced plans to beef up their military, and the Chinese have been in the middle of a huge arms buildup. What do we have to offer them to make them re-consider and "cooperate?" That is the question Obama won't answer because he can't.
