A truly nutzo point at which to have changed your mind. That was a transparent TV news cycle control operation, with western heads of state unwilling to have their tails visibly twisted and their trumpetings visibly ignored and defied by a two bit dictator in their back yard. Whether that desire to avoid such embarassment was used adroitly by PR types who wanted help you can decide for yourself. Which is more plausible, that you opened yourself to that once because you despised Our Boy Bill, or that multiple presidents of both parties here, and every state in Europe, and a score of general officers, and scads of NATO patriots of N countries, are all nefariously and secretly working to undermine American by obscure shenanigans in a hopeless backwater that nobody gives a crap about?

Slobo and Putin are simply fascist dictators whose stock in trade is exploiting existing partisan and nationalist divisions, to peddle grand conspiracy theory smokesscreens, whose only net effect is to divide other men from their governments, which said fascist dictators are at war or in competition, with. That is quite completely all. Any sensible distance on any of it would suffice for you to realize you are being played for a fool by enemies of your country. Instead you think you are oh so clever to believe your country is conspiring against you, and only foreign fascist dictators are defenders of all that is right and true.

No third world war started. No grand US interests have been harmed in Kosovo or before it in Bosnia. It is a backwater and was a mess, now it is a backwater and a slightly more contained mess. Occasional confrontation between NATO and Russia or China are merely the purpose for which it was formed, and people with any sense get out of NATO's way. No, Putin is not some wronged party, and fascist tyrants abroad are not greater lovers and defenders of freedom. You are merely a dupe, it is so much simpler.

I had seen no reason to take Islamic extremist side which Al Quada set up base in Kosovo. Then we arm and train the Islamic extremist in order to attack a dictator that was attempting to defend his territory from those Islamic extremist.
