Obama-False-Profit
Thanks for posting this; I think Mr. Denenberg’s analysis is spot-on.
I’ve lost two good friends over their blind support for Obama. Sadly, they are our next-door neighbors, an older married couple who have traveled the world, are very warm and welcoming people.
Prior to this election we got together at least weekly for dinner parties or just drinks. Since the election and our growing resentment for Obama and anyone who could still support him combined with their blind support of the man has made it impossible to remain friends.
And this is the man who was supposed to garner worldwide respect once again towards the US and bring the nation together. The last time our country has been as split as we are now was prior to and during the Civil War.
It’s dividing my husband’s family. Phone calls from dh to his two brothers turn to shouting. Dh has said some things which I have never before heard from his mouth.

I hate personal confrontations but recently ended up in a full-blown screaming match with a friend, now former-friend.
I know I should have kept my cool and tried to for a long time.
But eventually lost it when this person said that the prayer given by Lowery at the inauguration was actually an “old slave prayer.” Really? Old Slave Prayer? Don’t think so. Don’t think any slaves were worried about “when yellow gets mellow.”
Bump!
i have friends i am avoiding for precisely that reason. i could not remain civil if they said one syllable in support of the Obams.
Hmmm...I see I’m not the only one. Political discussions were often heated in the past. Now, I can barely conceal my anger. I even told a bho supporter that he is now the enemy.
How did it come to this?
i am totally with you on this. i feel exactly the same way. i cannot be around someone that might even say a peep in his defense, because i am sure i will go off. i am FURIOUS at what he is doing, it is INDEFENSIBLE.
Ever since I voted for Eisenhower, Nixon,Goldwater etc I have had logical, sincere debates with friend and relatives over politics.
I, too, since BO (!) WON the nomination have seen sincere debates turn into bitter, divisive, increasingly loud, and saddest of all, less and less frequent. Ultimately there is neither contact nor a desire for contact.
If this is a definition of “Healing” or “Bringing together” or “Uniting” I need to find a new dictionary.
There is a tiny, tiny bit of comfort in learning that I’m not the only one finding this is life today.
Maxine Waters sets the bar for "Not Knowing What is Going On". When you're mocked by the most clueless person in an entire Congress filled with Dim Bulbs....that can't be a good sign for Obama's administration.
So it goes with our first “Affirmtive Action” POTUS.

Because he is the enemy, and the future will show it. Liberals are to Hitler like Moderates are to Muslims. It is all about numbers and time.
Huh? A plan has been announced and the market is up 300+????
Sure, but it's not much of an issue with me. I generally avoid socialists anyway, as I prefer my friends to be people of high character. Any socialists in my life are acquaintances, at best.
As have I.
I’ve lost one friend that has been a good friend since my early college days (17 years ago!).
Another asked me not to e-mail her any more if I was going to insist on sending her “negative” e-mails about Obama (only two such e-mails since Inauguration, and apparently I hit a nerve).
I think the petition to remove Obomba as president has reached 10,000,000 signatures.
