MaxMax, I don't know why you resorted to pure insults in your post. Sharrukin was stating some wisdom in his first post about the difficulty of getting people to give up their comforts and routine, in order to rebel. Jefferson himself said much the same thing in the Declaration of Independence:
“...all Experience hath shewn, that Mankind are more disposed to suffer, while Evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the Forms (of government) to which they are accustomed.”

I too dread the prospect of a revolution/civil war, because no matter why it starts, no one can guess what the end result will be.

We Americans tend to think in terms of OUR revolution of 1775-1783, which was a highly civilized conflict led by very Christian men. It was an ANOMALY in the history of rebellions. These days, with our society as decadent and godless as it has become, a revolution could easily get hijacked and we could end up with the French version in the 1790s, or the (2nd) Russian of 1918-1919.

Sharrukin, you err in your later posts as saying the US lost 2 wars against Canada. Both examples were merely campaigns in larger wars. While we have lost many battles and even campaigns, we've only lost (politically) 1 war.

I would scream at one of these f**king brownshirts if they showed up at my house.

They'd be the ones screaming in pain if they showed up at MY house....

Re #465:

“I think it is time for some educated infiltration.”

Sort of like Rush’s “Operation Chaos”, eh?

Why not? The commies have been doing it for years.

Only they don’t stop with infiltration for intel gathering; they TAKE OVER.

Who usually wins these wars?

Chinese Civil War (left)

Russian Revolution (left)

Russian Civil War (left)

Greek Civil War (right)

Finnish Civil War (right)

post-war German conflict (left)

Mexican Civil War (left)

Decent men do not usually win these conflicts. They are savage and they are ugly and the leftists are better at both of these things than conservatives tend to be. The threat is a lot more dangerous than many are suggesting!

Well said, and bears repeating. Thanks!

Let us learn our lessons. Never, never, never believe any war will be smooth and easy, or that anyone who embarks on that strange voyage can measure the tides and hurricanes he will encounter. The Statesman who yields to war must realize that once the signal is given, he is no longer the master of policy but the slave of unforeseeable and uncontrollable events. Antiquated War Offices, weak, incompetent or arrogant Commanders, untrustworthy allies, hostile neutrals, malignant Fortune, ugly surprises, awful miscalculations -- all take their seats at the Council Board on the morrow of a declaration of war. Always remember, however sure you are that you can easily win, that there would not be a war if the other man did not think he also had a chance."

Winston Churchill

Something I think we need to keep in mind. My point is that if it happens, and I pray to God that it doesn't, there is no guarantee of victory. Wars have been fought before and the good guys lost! Believing happy-crap isn't going to get the job done!

The best policy is to do our best to make sure that it never comes to that!

White or black doesn’t matter. Obama is a man witout a race or a country. Yet enough morons voted for him because of the perfect storm, created by the Republican Party. Bush’s spending and McCain making the final cut as opposition.

Perfect S*** Storm. I am of the firm opinion that McCain threw the election; not sure if he intended to in the beginning or not, but by the end of summer I am sure that was his plan. I have no clue why, I have a few ideas but they’re just speculation.

Good observation. He never intended to win IMHO. The Palin surge freaked him out. That’s why he let her be thrown under the bus. She will thrive, he may survive.

Hmm, I haven’t been sure whether he never intended to win, or decided to throw it in the summer.

Why the freaking heck did he accpet the nomination if he never wanted to win even in the beginning? Because the suits wanted to avoid the race riots they were sure would happen if 0bama lost? Or something else?

McCain wants what Obama is doing. But he didn’t want to be blamed for it. He never thought he would win the nomination. The true conservative vote was split too many ways. McCain got the moderates and the Dem crossover in Red states. Rush’s Operation Chaos, was small scale compared to what the dems did in the Repub primaries, too little too late.

Open primaries.

But still, his getting nominated proves that the RNC is a steaming pile. Sorry I’m not polite today...

The RNC is lost. Michael Steele has lost his glasses and his flashlight, so he won’t find it. I pray he is replaced soon by someone with core beliefs that he lacks.

The dems keep current repups on the defensive. You CAN NOT win as a REACTIVE. You must be a PROACTIVE.

Where did the RNC get all these pansies. Are they afraid of the POOTUS?

I just threw up in my mouth.

I agree with you more than 100%.

It’s as though they’re all compromised, bought out, bribed, blackmailed, and gelded.

OK. That’s two people who realize we must get on the offense and not the defense.

How many more do we need?
