When AIG was a privately run company, the compensation of its executives was none of Obama’s damn business.

Is it just me, or is Obama’s Teleprompter causing havoc these days?

Ah, but the bonuses can’t be against public policy if Congress provided for them to be paid. The Feds should just forget about the paid bonuses, and just make sure whoever is running the show for them knows what’s going on now. The Federal government owns 80% of AIG. They can do anything with it they want.

It’d be a shame if it were to malfunction tommorow night on Leno.

"When AIG was a privately run company, the compensation of its executives was none of Obamas damn business. Yes, but he wasn't talking about AIG - he was talking about ALL publicly traded companies - hell, he might be talking about ALL companies period.
The guys over at Powerlineblog.com have discussed it. They I have come to the same conclusion, Obama and his minions are going to use this latest populist outrage to dictate to companies what they can or cannot pay their employees.

He was part of the “Friends of Mozilo” and didn’t retire. What makes you think he’s going to retire over this?

That would be the strongest attack yet by the socialists. Highly compensated are corporate leaders. Companies compete for their services. If you’re going to kill capitalism, go for the head, huh.

“When Blitzer asked Dodd what had changed in his understanding between Tuesday and Wednesday, Dodd replied, Going back and reviewing it. ... I apologize if we had some confusion.”
Oh I see, telling a bald faced lie is now “confusion”.
These DC pimps are pathetic.

Looks like Dodd threw Obama under the bus. He said that Obama reviewed the Stimulus a month and a half ago and felt that language was OK, even with reservations, just to get the Stimulus passed.

Congress should resign.
Yes all of them. Except maybe Eric Cantor and Michelle Bachmann.
Yeah that's it.

I believe Hussein II got about 110K from AIG in campaign "donations" - Chrissy Dodd got more - John "CFR" McCain got about 35K

Has anyone stopped to consider that Dodd may be a hero in all this? After all the trillions of dollars of TARP, Stimulus, Omnibus, Budget ... Finally some money ($165 million) will get to people that might actually stimulate the economy!!!!! Think of this as an accidental tax cut (or welfare for the rich)
