I get the blackest looks when I refuse the cashier’s request to donate to the MOD at checkout.
Then I tell them why and they look....well, stupefied.
You know, I never knew this stuff, and I actually once helped (by sending out letters in my neighborhood and collecting donations). Wow, I simply had no idea.
Are you aware of the bad news about the United Fund?
Think that’s bad?
UNICEF sends *kids* out trick or treating for them and promotes abortion.
How evil is that?

I get black looks for *not* donating to a lot of killer causes at checkouts.
PETA....HSUS...the list goes on.
I’ve had some checkout personnel actually try to argue the point when I bother to tell them *why*.
[which I do loudly enough so all the people in line behind me hear *why*, too]
Yes, I ~am~ naturally combative...why do you ask?...;D
That’s the trick.
What kind of evil person could *possibly* be -against- such ~seemingly~ benevolent and virtuous “causes”?
It makes you look like you’re *for* kicking puppies.
Liberals are masters at manipulation of emotion.
Never forget this line:
“Villainy wears no deadlier guise than that of Virtue”.
thanks, bfl
Evil scum.
I didn’t know about this.
I don’t think I even know what the United Fund is. Is that related to the United Way?
We’re Salvation Army donors, ourselves.
Also good. :)
Tell hubby that.
They have scores of bell ringers all over the place at Christmas time and he says I’m actually physically incapable of passing one without putting in a dollar.
[this goes on with every trip to town from the time they start to Christmas Eve]
This year, at Michael’s, I had to come back *out* to the truck for more money because I was...you guessed it...a dollar short at checkout...:))
[I think I have “Bell Ringer OCD”]....;]
LOL you could certainly have a worse habit!
I will remember to quote that to Himself, come next December....;-D
