Could Steele possibly be a “plant” from the other side?
A “Manchurian” candidate if you will. Send to destroy what is left of the GOP?

Sadly the party decided to put tokenism above principle. I think there was plenty of evidence that Steele was not the conservative the republicans propped him up to be. Didn’t matter though, all they wanted to do was put a black figure in so they could say, “we have one too”. The RNC needs to grow some huevos.
I’ve had the same thought lately. I was ready to give him another shot after the D.L. Hughley debacle, but the GQ interview was the last straw.

I’ve stopped calling myself a Republican. Between Steele and Meghan McCain attacking Coulter & Ingraham I’d say the ‘moderate’ left-wing has hijacked the Republicans. Sometimes when you’re playing tug of war it’s best to just let go of the rope and let the other team fall. What will they win? A rope to hang themselves with.

Of course with those comments I can see where he isn't supporting the party either.
Steele thinks the Republican Party should coddle (= feed BS to) blacks to 'show' that they are 'liked', sort of like the 'Rats do. Put another way, appear to give them preferential treatment, but really take advantage of them and screw them over. Steele apparently wants Republicans to share white guilt about Democrats messing them over. These are all bad things, in case Steele hasn't figured it out. Maybe Steele should try to assimilate that the Republican Party is a party of ideas and equality, not of guilt, racism and conflicting special interests.
I’d like Steele to explain to the world how slavery, breaking up the black family and thereby holding so many blacks in poverty while politically taking them for granted equates to Democrats ‘liking’ blacks or earning their loyalty. Why do they keep playing the same old racist BS lies that nobody believes?
