Never forget exactly *WHO* it was who headed the US team which "negotiated" the Kyoto treaty. It was none other than then VP Al Gore. Kyoto was his single "accomplishment" as VP, and he will do anything to keep it, or some version of it, alive. *THAT*, in reality is what his insanity is all about...
