I still believe McCain would have dragged us into the same hole, just a tad slower, perhaps, and with considerable Republican support in Congress. The only difference with McCain is that he probably wouldn’t turn the Intelligence services 180 to go after “dissidents” and ignore those foreign things. Hussein is surely engaged in doing just that. Even Clinton did it, and in a big way.

The more that decisions are made by government and the less by businesses and citizens the more corruption must exist. Communist governments are utterly corrupt. Socialist governments marginally less so. It has to be that way. If you need bureaucrats to approve of your every decision instead of market conditions determining them then your aim must be to satisfy the bureaucrat, not the market. Baksheesh is cheaper than waiting for documents to be properly prepared and legally secured. Competition then is based on access to bureaucrats and politicians, not on market conditions and customer satisfaction.

The Democrats will not fear for their jobs unless most of the ACORN activists start to die of the Plague.

Judges just don’t care about things like that. Their careers are insulated.

Ah. So just do a “You didn’t do anything criminal. We just don’t like you” IllinoisStyle-Blagojevich on him.

Now that’s a slippery slope

“Let the Dems own it for a year or two.”

We can’t afford it, based on the damage Hussein has done in only six weeks.

In another few months, if not already, proving foreign birth will only succeed in cementing a fait accompli and removing citizenship from the Constitutional requirements and setting the precedent of openly amending the Constitution by fiat. It will not remove the alien. Democrats have said from time time that the entire world should be able to vote for an American President because he affects the entire world and that there should not be any chauvinistic requirements on the candidate like citizenship.

No matter what his true COLB says, the SCOTUS will not have him removed. This evil man is going nowhere for a long time. Better than being “Teflon”, he’s black and that makes him impervious to anything negative happening to him.

“I remember the riots in Philadelphia ... in the ‘60s.”

Yeah. Where’s Frank Rizzo when you need him? Wasn’t he the mayor who brought in tanks, or threatened to, to calm the riots?

You are right about our affirmative action president. This is why I have a sneeking suspicion that the courts are keeping the Obama Birth Certificate issue as their ace in the hole. I believe that important people know the truth about Obama’s birth status. I believe that the courts are being told not to hear the case. The word is “Do nothing ‘til you hear from me.”

I believe that if things get much worse in a few months, someone will be given the word to hear the case and that will be the out. He will be shown to have not been born a natural born citizen and blacks will be told that he wasn’t a real African American. He was a sham. That will prevent the riots. That will remove the imposter. That will remove the stain of America being a racist country. We all win. But then somebody has to fix the problem.

Also, perhaps the truth of the situation is what really keeps Obama up at night.

Wrong. The markets are reading his tax policies and judging them inadequate to be accretive for business. The markets are reading what he says and reacting to its impact six months from now. Where you are right is that there is an underlying super cycle to the market reaching its culmination.

But in cases like this, the super cycle sell off was always going to be there. The key difference is that the policies introduced over the past month is determining the depth of the sell off. The

And when you are standing there after our country (and Constitution) has been destroyed, you will take comfort in having the moral high ground.

And if you trash the Constitution in your haste to 'save' it then what have you got once the dust is settled?

There is only one rule in any type of warfare: Victory. You use whatever you have to win. IMO.

If you don't stand for something then you'll fall for anything. IMO.

They are ignorant and don’t care about freedom as long as they get a little check from the goberment.

Shouldn't someone care about freedom and the rule of law? If not us then who?

given your post: it doesn’t matter what happens the Constitution is trashed. You are correct in that assumption.
However, who do you want writing the new Constitution? Conservatives or Liberals?

Your choice.

Wrong. The depth of the market selloff is the same as it would have been regardless of the announcements by ‘elected officials’.

Our political process has been a Hollywood production for decades. It has been financed by international financiers who, long ago, undermined American sovereignty.

The stock casino...err ‘market’ is a principal tool of ‘social engineering’.

Could not agree more.FDR had a population that was used to sacrifice and doing without everything but needy things.Todays spoiled rotten generations will be screaming as if they were being eaten alive. The “poor” think this will benefit them.Wait until they are told that a 600 x-box or the 7,000 dollar ATV just aren’t in their future.Wait until they go to the emergency rooms and are told unless they are terminal, the clinic opens at eight. How many of our best and brightest will chooe medical school when their salaries are capped at the same as Joe the plumber.I could write volumes on just the medical disasters that lie ahead.I have twenty years in the medical field and the screaming of patients with flu-like symptoms have to wait more than 30 minutes to be seen by a dr.,can be heard for blocks.

I like the old one, thank you very much. And I'll oppose anyone who acts against it, regardless of claimed political affiliation.

I see people upset - but they just turn off the TV, and do nothing. I also see that although all of us are shocked that he could get this far in such a short time - most people have not even realized the danger of going socialistic. We have a dumbed down society, we have the young who have been spoiled and are looking for another parent to pay for everything and this generation does not have the moral character to uphold the sanctity of life which will lead to withdrawing of health care of the weak and elderly and enshrine abortion at all stages. Then add in the overall corruption in government demonizing any true candidate that would work for the people (as evidenced by Sarah and now Rush), and we have the end of America approaching fast. We are just becoming unworthy of God’s help in preserving this nation and without God’s protective hand, we are at the mercy of any politician becoming president.

You sound like you have given up and have no hope. I'm not there yet. Were things not bad in the 1930s and early 1940s? We had a horrific depression that dragged on for more than 10 years, a maniacal murdering madman taking over Europe, and then we get hit by a surprise Japanese attack. Could things have looked much worse? Yet, we were victorious in the war and the economy roared back.

Is not God a Father who corrects His children when they need it to get them back on a more righteous path? Things are bad right now and could get much worse, but I believe this country may be the better for it on the other side.
