I live in Progressive Portland, OR.

I have some friends here and over time I have coffee with them from time to time. One of their father comes with them occasionally. He is a retired economist teacher.

The man was a 100% Obamabot. He is so liberal.. he told me that because I was serving in the military during the time of the last President, my pension should have been eliminated. But I still like talking the news with him.. and I have had the satisfaction in the last two weeks of seeing him crack.

He told me the other day when we were talking about economy that Obama’s budget and tax policy is starting to look crazy, and he is unsure if it was going to work.. I just kepted my mouth shut and smiled.

His daughter later told me that I looked too smug that morning.

I must be confused on carbon-dioxide and carbon monoxide
dont trees actually turn carbon dioxide into Oxygen and
other volitle organic compounds ,six left over oxy atoms,
from photosynthesis?Couldnt we tax treeowners for over production of potentially explosive gases?
I was under the impression that carbon monoxide was really
the bad gas produced by various combustion processes used
by nefarious industrial types.

But with over one million "major stationary sources," a full-blown application of the Clean Air Act would be the equivalent of an atomic bomb directed at the US economy — all without any scientific justification.

CO2 producers should go on strike for a day or two. It is about time the government got a good scare no trucks, no power, no heat, no ,anufacturing no .....

Enforcement of these regulations will be targeted - at industries that do not contribute enough to the Democratic Party coffers and companies that do sit enough Democratic Party bigshots on the board of directors.

We're now the Soviet Union with better toilet paper.

I don’t think Obama even wants to “remake” the United States into a socialist state.

I think he wants to KILL all the white people in America, through economic chaos, freezing, starving, terrorist attack, etc.—and is willing to see a lot of black people die, too, if that’s what it takes.

Just as he is happy to see most black pregnancies end in murder, just as long as white babies are murdered, too.

I suggest that all greenies and liberals show us the way and stop exhaling for as long as it takes to stop global warming. ; )

Congress should defund and disband the EPA. Problem solved.

It is really a cover for imposing socialism in the US. The radical environmentalists are Green on the outside but are Red on the inside. What the "cap and trade" plan represents in essence is a massive transfer of wealth from the private sector to the government. It ain't about protecting the environment for future generations. In reality, its the ultimate form of generational wealth theft.

If this CO2 legislation passes Obama’s poll numbers will drop dramatically the instant people get a heating or air conditioning bill that is twice what the previous month’s bill was. Government can take your money in all sort of ways that are hard to see immediately, and then obfuscate on why you are losing money. But, when you have to write a huge check to pay for their legislation it is instant anger.
