Pinch is so done. His tool to bribe his family into letting him continue to run the business was the fat dividend many of them live on. With that now cancelled, its likely that the calls in the family will grow to monetize what’s left of their wealth - i.e. sell the company or at least their controlling stake in it. Given Pinch’s record of making disasterous deals (Boston Globe, About.com, plush new office building at the peak of the bubble etc...), my guess is that the moment he sells will mark the bottom in the newspaper decline.
