You’re working for him now, Norm.
And a failed term at that. His goal has remained the same for many years, and it was the same as Al Gore, his fellow Socialist, that being the White House. “Career politician” doesn’t have to mean you’ve held office for years, but to have been INVOLVED in seeking office over years. He has. But let’s not let truth get in the way of telling us how butter won’t melt in Slick Willard’s mouth.
That one I'll answer: NO.
I took up McCain's cause because no one else was doing it. He was a vet, a war hero, and a moderately conservative with lots of governmental experience. It's over and I'm not doing it again. I like Mitt and see him as a fine presidential candidate for 2012 (especially the way the economy and budgetary affairs are). While I haven't officially settled on him: 1) I will defend what I see as excessive attacks on him, 2) I will celebrate his successes, and 3) all this whining is driving me closer to him. Afterall - I love an underdog.
Lots of sick people at that meeting. But then it could just be a very funny joke.
So then you think DeMint is either too STUPID or LAZY (or BOTH) to see through a “lie.” What an insult to a great conservative mind.
I’d be surprised if Petraeus gets in it. The downside to picking a military man who has never held political office is what his record would be, and if he was successful at it. That’s why I have a problem sizing up sports figures who try to run, you don’t know how they’re going to do until after they’re in (by which time, it’s too late).
As Rush said, Mac was the media darling for a reason.....
Where did Mac finish in relationship to Romney at CPAC in 2008? Was that a media event?
We aren’t there yet. After the 2010 elections....THEN we can work on getting a candidate to go with the next Congressional Revolution.
Time to find out?
Not natural born, does not qualify to run as president.
Then there is a little trouble with the illegals thing.
You love an underdog ? How about championing a Conservative one, Norm ? If you want a Socialist, scoot on over to the Democrat side. Juan “I can’t get my lips off of Barry’s ass” McCain was quite enough.
Those aren’t mutually exclusive concepts.
That's ironic because I would likely not still be on this thread "working" if it weren't for... you
(creepy, huh?)
Married at age 20. I guess Mitt didn’t know the values of his wife.
( Nice. You throwing Mitt’s wife under the bus. Real classy. Granted, Mitt, or as least his campaign, gives you an assist.)
Point out one ironclad demonstrable lie I made on this thread. Opinions don’t count.
Talk about stepping in the cesspool, do you go to parties and fart at the dinner table also.
Politicians run for office and campaign, election winners are still politicians but they are also office holders.
Romney has been a politician for about 16 or 17 years and is campaigning for an election in 2012 for an office that he would want to hold until 2020.
Like I said he is a career politician.
He loses but he is always campaigning.
Well, there’s the OTHER alternative... which is how Slick has “acquired” a lot of his “support.” I think DeMint thought he might end up as his running mate, since it makes sense that Slick would clearly require a Southerner to appease the base. Problem is, DeMint doesn’t know that Slick prefers weak cyphers that don’t challenge his supremacy. He was going to be in for a shock. Slick would’ve chosen someone like his clone out in California, Meg Whitman. Another left-winger.
