OK, what if...It doesn't get stripped out of the House bill, passes both houses of Congress, gets signed by Hussein, the USSC declares the DC voting member unconstitutional and removes that, but leaves the DC gun rights part!

Talk about RATS squealing like stuck pigs....lol.

I see that the newly-appointed senator from New York, Gillebrand, supposedly pro-gun, voted against the measure.

The difference between Obama and Gillebrand, of course, is that the NRA supported Gillebrand and labeled her pro-gun.

It’s encouraging that gun rights were in this instance affirmed.

It’s still discouraging that the overall bill - which is a blatantly unconstitutional monstrosity - passed.

BTW, FWIW everyone (especially Indiana FReepers) may want to take note that Dick Lugar was the only “Republican” to vote against the Ensign amendment.

Glad to see that Sheets voted with us.

Sheets has been behaving himself lately. I saw where he was crabbing at the White House for usurping Congressional power by appointing White House operatives to oversee policy. I've also heard he's been seen at the local dry cleaners picking up some old...

The D-rats HAD to give a few crumbs to the Republicans, to get their support for allowing a non-state, govt entity to be represented to the govt itself......!

Perhaps Gillebrand voted against the bill because it is unconstitutional ?

That an unconstitutional bill contains provisions friendly to your point of view doesn't change the major flaw.
