I see that the newly-appointed senator from New York, Gillebrand, supposedly pro-gun, voted against the measure.
Hussein obama claims to be pro gun too. A whole bunch of idiots bought that line!
The difference between Obama and Gillebrand, of course, is that the NRA supported Gillebrand and labeled her pro-gun.
It’s encouraging that gun rights were in this instance affirmed.
It’s still discouraging that the overall bill - which is a blatantly unconstitutional monstrosity - passed.
BTW, FWIW everyone (especially Indiana FReepers) may want to take note that Dick Lugar was the only “Republican” to vote against the Ensign amendment.

The D-rats HAD to give a few crumbs to the Republicans, to get their support for allowing a non-state, govt entity to be represented to the govt itself......!
That an unconstitutional bill contains provisions friendly to your point of view doesn't change the major flaw.
