Ummm...for clarity, I don't get what you are saying vis what I posted. You started your post with the following words which were in my post:
For one thing, as hurricane Katrina has glaringly shown, the Federal government is a clumsy, bureaucratic, politicized, and insensitive instrument...and states and localities that give themselves over to depending on it are in real trouble.
I just wanted to clarify that those were not my words, but something I took from the linked article in the original post.
I dont have any problem with the rest of you post.

IAC, restore the Republic and then we'll at least be in a position to address the kind of mistakes that led us to where we are now.It's that or face many, many decades of the Soviet-style rule that is now a foregone conclusion.

No, you are right, and my focus was on the major two, although it doesn’t dispute the fact that many factions will be in play.
