Can you say “stupid and blind”?
Because you are.
Because you didn’t watch republicans Snowe/Collins and Specter vote for the speending bill.
Do these three still have their committe posts?
Loser.

On Clinton impeachment: Five Republicans — Sens. Olympia J. Snowe and Susan M. Collins of Maine, John H. Chafee of Rhode Island, James M. Jeffords of Vermont and Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania — voted to acquit on both articles of impeachment. On the perjury count, those five were joined by five other Republicans — Sens. Slade Gorton of Washington state, Richard C. Shelby of Alabama, Ted Stevens of Alaska, Fred Thompson of Tennessee and John W. Warner of Virginia.
That is why, when you admit to having discovered this only recently, I can accurately call you naive.
Youngster.
I’ve got ten years as a Freeper.
I’ve seen the republicans have the spine to impeach Clinton, win the presidency and both houses.
I then watched them squander their leadership.
Now I’m witnessing them let the democrats have their way with tearing the country apart.
Tell me , oh wise Freeper of only five years:
1. Exactly how does one attain discovery and yet still receive the label of ‘naive’? Under what definition of ‘naive’ does one gain a state of realization yet still be accused of lacking a state of realization?
2. At what point did you abandon the republicans as complicit in the destruction of this country? Did you do it easily, so as to exhibit an air of superiority, or have you had trouble forgiving the republicans for not trying hard enough to get Goldwater elected?
The Republicans with "spine" as you call it FAILED to impeach Clinton for any REAL offences, just for lying under oath, which is somewhat of a cop-out as far as I'm concerned. And it wouldn't have happened at all if it weren't for the leadership of private citizens who started the ball rolling.
IMO, you have still not "attained discovery", so you're still naive.
I did not abandon the Republicans, THEY abandoned ME. FYI: I have worked within the party for years, sending money, volunteering, serving on county central committees, platform committees, poll watcher, sending more money, attending conventions, and through it all, I had to argue with the liberal Republicans who were pushing for a "bigger tent" kind of platform.
They left me by moving toward the left.
So..ten years as a FReeper, huh? What have you learned? Try studying this for 16 years, reading books, periodicals, networking with real conservatives, and engaging in community outreach activities. Then get back to me.
LOL!
The 'naive' label is entirely unjustified, especially when it comes from someone who committed a lot of time and money to a lost cause.
So how's that ol' road to discovery workin' out, pal? Ya' still donatin' an' waitin', or did ya move on?
You last post implied that the republicans who impeached Clinton for perjury were of the same caliber of apathy as today's Senators from Maine. The republicans who impeached Clinton for perjury were the same ones who pushed the Contract with America...do you think that today's republicans would start anything like a Contract with America? Tell me pal, was there ever a time when the republicans were good enough for you?
As I recall, your original post was something about the democrats being our enemy, which is nearly true, but it is not the whole truth.
Yes, the demoncraps are indeed one enemy, but we have others.
The fact remains that you jumped to the conclusion you did about me and my post. But remember; it was you who first wrote that the Maine Republicans were now on your enemy's list.
To reiterate; I said that since you had just recently discovered this makes you naive in my opinion.
And, like many other threads here, this one too, has turned to crap.
Well, now you've progressed into a full blown liar. I have NEVER liked either Maine Senator, nor did I write any such thing, nor did I ever even imply it.
You are an arrogant lying rude little man. If people with equally poor people skills (like you) were what was representing conservatism at conventions, then I would view this as a contributing cause of the demise of conservatism in the GOP.
