You are so right.
What’s messed up is that I’ve already met two people who’ve joined the military because the economy is so bad.
People who think that the military has been our largest welfare system, were truly wrong. But that’s exactly what it’s about to become.
Yes, no doubt, that is in the unspoken subtext of Obama's rationale as well. Get them poor enough; and they 'will come' - and they will be counted in the 'employment up' stats.
'A Rusian Diary' by murdered (like so many at Putin's behest)Russian journalist, Anna Politkovskaya is a great and important read for those who wish to see inside a 'Leftist'/communist culture where power is no more than a 'self-servance' and a country's citizens; no more than an expendable 'means' used by the 'powerful'.
(This book will never make 'Oprah's book list; but is available at Amazon; if not in bookstore.)
Humm, good point. THe Germans picked up a good share, the rest were counting on US (the USofA) to pay the bill
Both in dollars and in blood.
“Bringing this back to center, Obama hasnt really proposed spending less on anything so far.”
I have heard on the radio the US military has been instructed to find 10 percent to cut.
Certainly Obama’s core sentiments are for less defense, more social programs.
Less guns, more butter—for the few old enough to remember the terminology during Vietnam in the 60s.
