Read this article from The American Thinker by James Simpson on September 28, 2009 entitled, “Barack Obama and the Strategy of Manufactured Crisis.”

http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/09/barack_obama_and_the_strategy.html

Here's an excerpt:

The Strategy was first elucidated in the May 2, 1966 issue of The Nation magazine by a pair of radical socialist Columbia University professors, Richard Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven. David Horowitz summarizes it as:

The strategy of forcing political change through orchestrated crisis. The “Cloward-Piven Strategy” seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse.

That's a great rant, Neil!

So good I posted it on AIPNEWS.com, with transcribing and posting credit to you and FR, of course.

Thanks for doing the work to make sure we could enjoy it as well! Well worth spreading around.

"There is another question; those who are in law enforcement as well as in the military, are they citizens of the US first or will they be followers of orders to quash their fellow citizens who revolt in the name of freedom and defense of our Constitution?"

Which is exactly what Jack McLamb discusses at his website:

Jim, I live in the area where Jones grew up and know people who knew him in his younger days. They all said he's been a little *touched* since birth.

However, he has been warning us of this current crisis for a number of years (nearly verbatim) and he hasn't gotten rich doing it. Not saying everything he says is factual but, it's damn close.

This isn't conspiracy theory any longer. Obama and his handlers are as real as it gets.

We’re in the midst of a coup and a tiny few realize it, so tiny is that few that I am fearful for our republic. History supports my pessimism.

You are right on point my friend. I hope and pray that there are enough of us and it is not too late when it all comes crashing down.

Jones offers aid and comfort to the enemy. That makes him as much a traitor as B. Hussein Obama, himself.

It's hard to overlook that Obama switched from hope to gloom and doom almost when he was sworn in. He can't make a sentence without "crisis to catastrophe" so it begins to look like he is pushing "fear itself."

I don't trust Obama anymore than Frank and Waters, Reid and Pelosi.

I can't stand the sight or sound of those people!

.....On welfare

.....Going to government run health clinics

.....Eating government food

.....Living in government housing

.....Taking public transportation

.....Allowing our children to be brainwashed

.....Teaching the sexualized lifestyle to our children

.....Aborting the unwanted pregnancies

.....Allowing ourselves to be euthenized at the agreed upon age

I don’t think so. I can’t find ANYTHING in stores that is NOT MADE IN CHINA.

It's not like Obama needed any Bush precedent to be able to declare some kind of martial law. Furthermore, Bush never abused executive power to any “evil ends”. The POTUS is always as restrained as it wants to be in the end. A wicked man holding such a position will not be constrained by any past office holder's use of discretion or sound judgment.

There is a much easier explanation that doesn't require an elaborate conspiracy: socialists are satisfied with the so-called "3rd way" where the welfare state is funded and maintained by private, albeit highly regulated, industry. Their primary objective is not to run the economy, but to continue adding layer upon layer of new social programs, such as health care.

This theory makes much more sense, and explains the attempts of both Treasury and the Fed to prop up and maintain the current banking & financial systems in place ie the FIRE economy. That's because they know if the underlying economy fails, the state does NOT gain more power, the welfare state actually FAILS. After all, who are the first to be cut off from receiving entitlement checks? That's right, the same people who exhibited such strength under adversity during Katrina.

When the $USD fails, it will take the central government down with it, freeing the respective states to form a new association, er union, that bypasses DC. It actually all comes down to what the military will do; personally, I don't see them following Hussein's orders.

Some of the masses like the idea of socialism because they don’t have to work and get stuff handed to them.

That is appealing to people with no ambition.

"I hate to say it but this is precisely what Alex Jones (Infowars, PrisonPlanet guy) has been ranting about for years..."

Alex Jones?

Alex Jones is America's #1 911 inside job moron. Alex Jones contributes nothing but the worst that America has to offer. I see his moron minions here in Austin often. Anything one has to say about mind-numbed followers of Obama can say the same about Alex Jones and his fans.

The biggest liberal in my office here is a fan of Alex Jones and thinks that Bush brought down the towers and the Pentagon.
