Good point, and you would also have to look at the cultural value if they were training for ops in Iraq of Afghanistan. I don’t see anything here that leads me to believe they were training for anything but domestic ops. The commanders own statements kind of point to that.

The military has MOUT facilities especially Fort Leonardwood. Used by the Military Police for urban operations and probably some more located at other bases.
Our towns, cities and other areas should not be used for MOUT Operations by anyone seeking to enter a person home unless it is by a LEA, where a crime is or has been committed.
They(Osambo&lackies) are just testing the waters to see how the sheeple will react.

The Guys running this might have realized that you go kicking in the wrong door that your training exercise could get real ugly real fast ie your guardsman have blannks while the guy that just got his door kicked has a deer rifle with live ammo.
Don't be puzzled, folks. Iowa has been radicalized (it began with the NEA and the state's education bureaucracy) and is a lost cause. The Democrat sheep have willingly placed out-and-out socialists in power, and thus Iowa is now fast-tracking towards being another Michigan. Just in the last week the fascist Dems in Des Moines have made the future infinitely more bleak, and the missus and I really need to gather the folks and get the hell out of here before the fruit ripens (or rots).
My kid was in an IARNG unit that deployed to Iraq and lost soldiers to enemy fire, and another Iowa unit had - I believe - the unenviable distinction of having their Iraq deployment extended longer than any other formation in OIF. They done good, just like Iowa citizen soldiers have generally done since 1861... but a few of their brass behave like vindictive and politically connected hacks who consider civilians to be subjects or livestock.
Practicing MOUT on civilians in Johnston or Urbandale would be logistically easier and far more "urban," but Arcadia (or Calamus, or George, or...) would probably be a better classroom if one wants to practice disarming Americans who have notions of rugged individualism and the Constitutional freedoms guaranteed by the founders.

Obviously if he’s intelligent enough to type on a keyboard, then he’s aware that the military already has a dozen elaborate “combat towns” on bases all over the USA to train troops for MOUT in foreign countries.
Searching for “weapons dealers” in a Midwest town in the American heartland has only nefarious purposes. To me, in my opinion, this was the political equivalent to a military “probe” to test an “enemy reaction.”
I would like to know WHO ORDERED THIS “TRAINING?” Did it originate in the state’s National Guard, or did the “request” come from some alphabet agency in DC? And WHY?

You know our Military does need to keep up to date in Modern Urban Warfare tactics, but Iowa?
How about they Train down in Tijuani, or in any other of the Narco-Socialist states south of the Border, before they really need to run roughshod thru our cities and towns looking for armed thugs?
