Me too. I just got his first ‘letter’ to me asking for money. I was going to call this week and ask if he can at least put limits on our money so that none of it goes to Specter,Collins and Snowe..or any other republican senator that pisses us off between now and 2010....lol

We should at least have a checkbox of who we want our money going to and who we do no when we donate to the RNC.

The existing deal is the family residence is not part of the bankruptcy. At the same time mortgage lenders have the foreclosue option should payment not be made as agreed.

The current system was considered a fantastically generous innovation at the time it was created. Earlier the home was part of the bankruptcy and they could toss you into the street quite easily.

Apparantly ACORN and the Obamaistas want to roll back the current system and allow judges to consider the status of the residence in bankruptcy proceedings.

I suspect they haven't thought this out all that carefully.

Among the changes I refer to are pulling support for dopes like Collins,Snowe, and SPECTRE. Time to get real repubs in the primaries.

If I were a lender. I would take this as a sign the judicial system is not going to let me recoup the money I loaned, at least that part of it I could call a profit. This being the case, I’d make damn sure I bled the new mortgagees dry of all their liquid cash in the closing (i.e., no more rolling closing costs and fees into the loan)..

And 40% down to make sure the borrower has "some skin in the game".

There should be absolutely NO Constitutional way the Gubmint can buy homes for those who COULD NOT AFFORD THE MORTGAGES TO BEGIN WITH, but banks were FORCED to create shaky mortgages to "minorities", or face "red-lining" lawsuits.

Now, these same non-qualified squatters expect that OTHERS should pay for their mortgages (because THEY can afford it), and The Messiah is pushing for yet another wealth-redistribution here.

HOW THE HELL CAN THE USSC SIT BY AND LET THIS GO ON?

What ACORN is...is empowered by Obama. And they're going Nation wide with sit-in's.

ACORN demands an end to residents’ evictions

Group protesting to stop deputies from removing homeowners who have fallen behind on mortgages
By DAVID ELLISON and MOISES MENDOZA
Houston Chronicle
Feb. 17, 2009, 10:47PM

The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now in Houston and six other cities are planning to stage civil-disobedience protests to prevent deputies from evicting residents who have fallen behind on their mortgages.

Ginny Goldman, head organizer for ACORN in Texas, said the group already has 100 volunteers ready to mobilize the day after a homeowner gets a 24-hour notice of eviction. She said the supporters will send a message saying: “Please don’t remove these people’s furniture. Please don’t evict this family. We are here to support them. They don’t deserve to be thrown out in the street.”

Oh, I think it was well thought out well in advance.

I bet ACORN has a "credit counseling" wing....all set up to "advise" people on the mortgage bailouts. And Obama/Pelosi will shower BILLIONS on them for their trouble.

No doubt ACORN has a scam or two in the fire, but the concept they are pushing extends far beyond their little inner circle of friends ~ the big boys who order up the multimillion dollar mansions in Florida (as a hedge against bankruptcy) will not be pleased!

I wrote a letter to my mortgage company (GMAC) asking them if I should stop paying on my loan. I asked why responsible people should have to subsidize irresponsible people. I said that I wanted to know what they are going to offer me, since I am responsible.

If we all contacted our mortgage companies instead of our congressman, we would have our own lobbyists. We should say that we are going to stop paying so that we can receive “fair” treatment, that is to say we want some of the pie.

Finally we have a communist president she means.
