this is the criminal liberal media hoping Palin fails- it’s also an article to keep for future purposes as when she comes through this and her state is still kicking butt we can wave this in their faces and fax them the story to remind them of their jouranlistic atrocities....

If they only knew how many billions AK has stashed for rainy days. No probs for 5-6 years, no decrease of services, no new taxes. How many other states can feel so secure. Add in that we don't have state taxes and no prop taxes in many areas. As long as Sarah doesn't crawl in bed with oil companys; she'll be fine. All politicals in Ak are close to oil industry, just can't go too far in their direction.

I have nx winters 14 cord already stacked, saves me 10 gran in heating oil expenses. Now starting to think about summer with light hrs coming back. Salmon, caribou, taters. It's been above zero for the last week; very nice indeed.

“Second negative story I’ve seen today on Palin.”

She is the anti-Obama just by virtue of her existence.

About the only consensus is that most around me feel that even if the lower 48 wanted her to run again in 2012 that she should decline, not that she cannot but that we would rather keep her astonishing abilities here at home.
Arguably I and many others have little or no problems with her decisions, they have been made at the right times, mostly is that she is easily identifiable as a real Alaskan and not some impostor like whats a current resident in the Whitehouse.

If I was to get a vision it would be that Sarah Palin becomes the first woman President...Of Alaska.

do you feel nervous about her re-election chances?? i just feel like the left has it in for her and they know she’s a threat and they are going to try their hardest to unseat her...am i totally paranoid??

also, if she becomes President of AK, i’m moving up there...i don’t care if i freeze my butt off...

Tar and feathering is a much talked about option for our liberals up here.

Even if someone was to beat her in an identical fashion such as Obama with voter fraud that person would get ousted in a heartbeat, unlike the rest of America Alaskans absolutely do not tolerate injustice, and I mean that.

Alaska is still the Last Frontier.

you are lucky to live in such a wonderful place...if i could, i would love to live there...however coming from a place like Tucson, AZ where it’s hotter than Hell, i don’t know that i could survive...literally...

Likewise here, I’m acclimated too much to the cooler climate here, of the three times since 1992 when I did go outside to go on vacation I had to do it in the winter, in Anaheim at Disneyland when it was 48 at night and everyone was bundled in parkas my family was loving it, and in Orlando in january at the waterpark in Disneyworld it was in the mid sixties and hardly anyone there yet we had a blast.
On the warmer days there when it was over 80 we gave up, too hot for us, I actually experienced heat exhaustion and almost collapsed at Disneyworld.

And funny as it sounds I grew up in the valley of California and later lived in the desert of Nevada, so it was a big change, in thinking about climates and such I think its easier to adapt to cold than heat.

And that could have political repercussions for the former Republican vice presidential hopeful

Could?

Has anyone noticed that Alaska is being managed better than California?

The local rag at AK is taking its orders from the Left to bash Palin at every angle in hopes that her approval ratings decline so much that either she declines running for Governor or she loses. The Dem who lost to Don Young last year is asking for money from MoveOn and Daily Kos posters to challenge Palin.

I don’t think Palin will lose re-election. AK is more GOP than other states. Plus if a crook like Don Young gets re-elected and another crook lik Ted Stevens almost wins, then Palin shouldn’t have much to worry about.
