Somehow “failed abortion” is a term that unsettles me. How about “attempted murder”?

I have mixed feelings here. I’m more than happy to see these facilities sued into bankruptcy but I don’t believe the mother should be financially rewarded since she could have stopped this.

Good point. Does a mother who knowingly kills her child have a greater claim against an incompetent abortionist than a competent one?

Its odd that she did not realize she was having a baby. Which is why when woman have ultra sounds most choose not to have abortions. When the life in them is always referred to as tissue or product of pregnancy or fetus or parasite (which is done for a reason), there is a huge disconnect.

I’m still not seeing the newsworthy nature of this story. This happens thousands of times every day in America.
When my children were little, my sister and I were in a local Right to Life group. I came home from a meeting one day and was talking with my sister about the meeting.
Well, my 8 year old daughter overheard and then started asking the question, “What is an abortion?” My daughter was intelligent and curious and we had already had the “where do babies come from” talk and I knew that I couldn’t get away with trying to dodge it.
I tried to explain it as gently as I could, but it broke my heart to see the look of horror come over my little girl’s face as I attempted to explain it. She asked me how could someone kill their baby? I told her that some people didn’t believe it was a baby yet.
She reached over to the table and picked up a booklet that had a picture of a 4 week old fetus in the womb and said, “Can’t they just look at it and see it’s a baby!?!”
I believe the clinic should have to pay all her medical bills and be put out of business, but I don’t believe the woman should profit financially. The article says that 911 wasn’t called. Why didn’t the woman or her boyfriend call 911?
The baby was born alive and then murdered.
Local “news” outlets in Miami will do huge reports on Hussein worship, American Idol, corrupt Republicans...but none of them have touched this story.
Now you know why the word news is in quotes.
